What can’t I bring with me when I return to China?

When returning to China, live animals, meat and its products, animal-derived milk and dairy products, eggs and their products, aquatic animal products and animal products are not allowed.

1. Live animals

(except dogs and cats), including all mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles, insects and other invertebrates , animal genetic material, these cannot be brought with you.

2. Meat

Meat (raw or cooked) (including organs) and its products, as well as aquatic animal products, are not allowed.

3. Animal-derived milk and dairy products, eggs and their products

There are also eggs and their products, including fresh eggs, preserved eggs, salted eggs, egg liquid, egg shells, mayonnaise and other egg source products, bird's nests (except canned bird's nests), and oils, skins, Hair, hooves, bones, horns and their products are also not allowed.

4. Plants and plant products

Fresh fruits, vegetables, tobacco leaves (excluding cut tobacco), seeds (seedlings), seedlings and other plant materials with reproductive capacity, and Organic growing media cannot be brought.

5. Other categories

Animal and plant pathogens such as bacterial strains and poisonous strains, pests and other harmful organisms, biological materials such as cells, organs and tissues, blood and their products, animal carcasses, Animal specimens, animal-derived waste, soil, genetically modified biological materials, as well as other animals and plants, animal and plant products and other quarantine objects prohibited from entry by the state.
