Introduction to Xiushui Town

The town is located in Anzhou District, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. Xiushui Town, also known as Xiushui River, was formerly known as Anxingchang. It was changed to its current name during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. It is connected to Sangzao Town in the north; Lexing Town and Tashui Town in the east; Heqing Town in the south; and Feishui, Jushui and Yingxin Township in the west. It is a transportation hub from An County to Deyang and Mianzhu cities and counties and Gaochuan Township. The town governs five neighborhood committees and 34 villages. There are 21,214 households with 60,977 people, including 30,987 males and 29,990 females.
