Peking University scenic spots

The scenic spots of Peking University are: 1. Peking University West Gate, 2. Yuan Shao, three years old. Huabiao, 4. He Ming Garden and No.5.. Jingchunyuan. Peking University, founded in 1898, is located in Beijing and directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). 1, Peking University West Gate

Before 1952, Peking University and yenching university merged into the new Peking University, the west gate of Peking University was the main entrance of yenching university. It was built by yenching university alumni in 1926, so it is also called Alumni Gate. The west gate faces east and west. It is a classical three-opening red painted palace gate building, only seven or eight meters high. Its style is simple, solemn and elegant, similar to the East Palace Gate of the Summer Palace, with a strong national style. There are two stone lions on both sides of the school gate.

2. Spoon Garden

Peking University was once the former residence of Mi, a famous calligrapher in Ming Dynasty. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed Hongya Garden, where Ma Gorni, the special envoy of King II of England, lived. Therefore, Yuan Shao became the earliest accommodation for foreign missions in China. Spoon Garden is where international students live.

In addition, many international academic seminars, outstanding achievement awards, scientific research management training sessions and numerous small-scale academic exchange activities will be held in Spoon Garden every year. Spoon Garden has thus become a window to the outside world of Peking University.
