What is a blog?

The history of blog

Blog is the Chinese translation of blog (blog is also translated as blog, blog). English blog originated from weblog, which means network log. Proposed by Jorn Barger in 1997. In 1998, Jesse J. Garrett, editor of infosift, collected some similar blog sites and sent them to Cameron Barrett. Cameron then posted the list on the CamWorld website, and many people also gave Cameron the URL of their blog. Slowly, a new online community took shape. In 1999, Brigitte Eaton established a blog directory to collect blog sites she knew. In 1999, Peter Merholz first used the abbreviation "blog", which has become a commonly used term today. However, the turning point when blogging really started to develop rapidly was in June 1999, when Pitas began to provide free blogging services. Then in August, Pyra lab launched what is now blogger.com. Blogger.com provides easy-to-follow instructions and the ability to publish blogs directly on personal websites via FTP, which brings great convenience to users. There are already many blog hosting service providers (BSP), and industry insiders are cautiously optimistic about their profit prospects.
