What kinds of traffic signs are there?

The classification, color, shape, lines, characters, graphics and dimensions of all kinds of road traffic signs and markings shall conform to the provisions of the corresponding parts of the current Road Traffic Signs and Markings (GB5768).

First of all, highway traffic signs are divided into two categories according to their functions: main signs and auxiliary signs:

1, main sign:

Warning signs: signs warning vehicles and pedestrians to pay attention to road traffic;

B. Prohibition signs: signs that prohibit or restrict the traffic behavior of vehicles and pedestrians;

C. Indicating signs: signs indicating that vehicles and pedestrians should follow;

D. Guiding signs: signs that convey the direction and distance of the road;

E. signs of tourist areas: signs providing directions and distances of tourist attractions;

F road operation zone signs: signs informing the traffic in road operation zones;

G. Notice sign: a sign informing off-road facilities, safe driving information and other information.

2. Auxiliary signs: signs attached to the main signs and playing the role of auxiliary explanation.

Second, according to the display position, it can be divided into two types: roadside and roadway, and the corresponding supporting structures are column, roadside attached, cantilever, portal frame and roadway.

3. According to the optical characteristics, it can be divided into three types: retroreflection type, illumination type and luminous type, among which the illumination type is divided into internal illumination type and external illumination type.

Four, according to the layout content display mode, divided into static signs and variable information signs.

Five, according to the fixed number of years of classification, divided into permanent signs and temporary signs.

Relevant provisions of traffic signs:

(1) The color of the warning sign is a black pattern with a yellow background and black edges, and the shape is a regular triangle with an upward vertex angle.

(2) The colors of prohibited signs are white background, red circle, red stripe, black pattern and pattern ballast. Among them, the sign of canceling overtaking and speed limit is ballast with black circle, black stripe and black pattern on white background. The shape is round, and the road sign is an equilateral triangle with the vertex down.

(3) The color of the indicator is white characters on a blue background. Shapes are round, rectangular and square.

(4) Except for milestones,100m piles and highway jiepai, the colors of guiding signs are generally blue and white. The shapes are rectangular and square, except for the position identification marks.
