Beijing-Datong
Route: First Take the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Expressway, which is not currently open to traffic. The Beijing-Badaling-Yanqing (Expressway) is about 75 kilometers from home to Yanqing, and the expressway toll is 10 yuan (Nankou-Yanqing); Yanqing-Tumu (National Highway 110) is about 65 kilometers; Civil Engineering-Xuanhua (Expressway) is about 50 kilometers, and the toll is 20 yuan; then take the Xuanhua-Datong Expressway, which is about 185 kilometers, and the toll is 40 yuan for the Hebei section and 20 yuan for the Shanxi section.
Road conditions: Good, no mountain roads.
Moving time: The total distance from home to Datong City is about 390 kilometers, and it takes 6 hours to reach Datong City.
Problem point: There is no way to avoid the heavy traffic jams at Badaling and Yanqing Expressway exits. The traffic jams are severe during May Day; this can be avoided by starting at 6 o'clock as early as possible. It is best to arrive at Changping Xiguan Roundabout after 9 o'clock, then exit the expressway and take National Highway 110.
