The Six Most Worthy Ancient Towns in Yunnan

1, Old Town of Lijiang Scenic Area

Old Town of Lijiang is located in the ancient city of Lijiang, also known as Dayan Town. Located in the middle of Lijiang Dam, it was built in the late Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty (1late 3rd century). It is located in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, covering an area of 7,279 square kilometers.

2. Dali Jianchuan Shi Baoshan Shaxi Ancient Town Tourist Area

Shi Baoshan Shaxi Ancient Town Tourist Area is located in Jianchuan County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, which is 5 km away from expressway/KLOC-0. With a total area of 300 square kilometers, the scenic spot consists of Shi Baoshan and Shaxi Ancient Town.

3. Nuodeng Ancient Town

Nuodeng Ancient Town is a Bai village with a history of thousands of years. The name of this village has never changed for thousands of years. Up to now, the residential buildings in the ancient town are built on the mountain, mostly in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

4. Dali Ancient City

Dali ancient city is located in the west of Yunnan Province, also known as Ye Yucheng and Zi Cheng. The history of the ancient city can be traced back to the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty, and the Yangcheng built by Luo Feng of Nanzhao Wang Ge is its new capital.

5. Heshun Ancient Town in Tengchong

Heshun Ancient Town, called Yangwendun in ancient times, is located 4 kilometers west of Tengchong City. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and was named "Heshun" because the river bypassed the village.

6. Shiyang Ancient Town, Dayao, Chuxiong

Shiyang Ancient Town, also known as "Bai Jing" and formerly known as "Yanfeng County", is located 35km northwest of Dayao County. There are many existing cultural relics, including provincial key cultural relics protection units 1 and 9 county key cultural relics protection units. It is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.
