How much of Weihai’s GDP does tourism revenue account for?
Preliminary estimates show that Weihai City, Shandong Province achieved a GDP of 211.095 billion yuan in 2011, an increase of 10.7% over the previous year based on comparable prices.
Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 17.118 billion yuan, an increase of 1.4%; the added value of the secondary industry was 113.936 billion yuan, an increase of 12%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 80.041 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8%. The three industrial structures continued to be optimized, from 7.92:55.89:36.19 in the previous year to 8.11:53.97:37.92, and the proportion of the tertiary industry increased by 1.73 percentage points.
State-owned enterprises lead industrial growth
In 2011, the added value of industries above designated size in the city increased by 13.6%.
