When visiting relatives in China, you can generally apply for an entry visa once or twice with a valid passport. In this case, the consular officer has the right to request the visa notice from the mainland tourism authorities or the invitation letter from the relatives visited, as well as to guarantee their expenses during their travel in Chinese mainland.
Foreigners who have China spouses, children or parents in China, and foreigners who have real estate or club membership cards in the Mainland can apply for multiple valid L-shaped visas with their marriage certificate or other proof of kinship, real estate certificate or club membership card.
(2) Business visit visa (F visa)
To apply for a visa once or twice, you must provide an invitation letter from the relevant mainland units.
To apply for a multiple-entry visa, you must provide the visa notification form of the authorized unit (with the consent of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the visa notification form issued by the unit that has the right to notify foreign embassies and consulates and issue visas), or an invitation letter from a legally registered company in the Mainland, or investment documents in the Mainland.
(3) Study visa (X visa)
To apply for a study visa, you need to provide the Application Form for Foreign Student Visa issued by the relevant competent department of China Municipal Government, that is, the JW202 form, the admission notice of the receiving school and the physical examination records of foreigners (primary school students do not need to provide it);
Overseas Chinese students studying in Guangzhou Jinan University, Quanzhou Overseas Chinese University (including Jimei Overseas Chinese School) and three China language and culture schools in Beijing, Kunming and Nanning can apply for study visas directly with the admission notices of the above schools.
(4) Employment visa (Z visa)
You must provide the Notice of Visa for Authorized Unit and the Employment Certificate for Foreigners issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of China;
Experts, scholars, teachers and managers working in China must provide the visa notification letter from the authorized unit and the Certificate of Foreign Experts or the Confirmation of Hiring Foreign Experts issued by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs;
Personnel engaged in offshore oil operations shall provide an invitation letter issued by China Offshore Oil Corporation;
Personnel who come to China for commercial cultural performances shall send letters and telegrams with the temporary business performance license issued by the Ministry of Culture and the visa notice issued by the Ministry of Culture or the foreign affairs office of the people's government of the relevant province, autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government; The chief representative of a foreign enterprise shall provide the notice of the authorized unit and the registration certificate of the industrial and commercial bureau; The staff of non-governmental organizations established in China according to intergovernmental agreements shall apply for visas with notes or official letters from relevant departments of their own governments.
Note: Applicants who apply for a work visa to stay in China for one year or more must also provide the medical records of foreigners.
(5) Transit visa (G visa)
You must hold a valid visa or invitation letter, joint or return air ticket to the country or region.
(6) Journalist visa (J 1, J2 visa)
J- 1 Resident Journalist Visa: Foreign journalists based in Chinese mainland must apply to the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China for permission to stay. When applying for a visa, they must provide the Record Form of Physical Examination for Foreigners and the relevant notice from the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
J-2 Temporary Journalist Visa: When submitting a visa application, you need to provide the following materials:

(7) Diplomatic/official visa
Foreign government officials or consular staff in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, staff of the United Nations or other international organizations who temporarily go to China to perform official duties, are assigned to work in China or come to China for sightseeing, must provide notes from their own governments, consulates, the United Nations or other international organizations, and sometimes an invitation letter from the relevant competent department of the China Municipal Government is required.
The main contents of the note should include: the name, position and employment organization of the visa applicant, the type and number of the passport held, the purpose of coming to China, the time of entry and exit or the time of employment, etc. If embassies and consulates in China is resident, it should also include the position and tenure of the applicant in China, whether it is a new position in the museum, or the name and position of the person to be replaced.
(8) Crew/Crew/Seafarer Visa (Class C Visa)
Flight attendants, aircrew or seafarers working on international means of transport apply for visas, and if there is an agreement between the two parties, it shall be handled in accordance with the agreement;
If there is no agreement between the two parties or it does not fall within the agreed scope, they may apply for an entry visa once or twice; The crew of a special plane or chartered flight can apply for a visa by the official letter of the company, but the visa will not take effect until their flight permission is approved by the relevant departments of our country. (9) Residence visa (D visa)
