Which cities are open to independent travel in Kinmen?
Kinmen belongs to Taiwan. To go to Kinmen, you need a Taiwan pass and a valid endorsement. You can go to Kinmen by applying for a gold deposit certificate, Taiwan pass and endorsement.
You cannot apply for a household registration in cities that are not independent travel and must travel with a group. Cities that have opened independent travel can directly apply for individual travel visas (G visas)
Note: Gold deposit certificates are only available in Kinmen. For travel to the three places of Taiwan, Matsu and Penghu, the Taiwan Entry Permit allows you to travel to the main island of Taiwan and surrounding outlying islands (including the three places of Kinma, Ma and Penghu).
Taiwan’s open cities for free travel:
On June 28, 2011, individual travel to Taiwan by mainland residents was officially launched. The first batch of pilot cities were Beijing, Shanghai and Fujian Province. Xiamen City; at the same time, Fujian residents are allowed to travel to Kinmen, Matsu, and Penghu for individual travel.
In 2012, 10 additional pilot cities were opened for individual travel to Taiwan, namely Chengdu, Tianjin, Chongqing, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Jinan, Xi'an, Fuzhou, and Shenzhen, which were implemented in two phases during the year.
In 2013, 13 more pilot cities were opened again, including Shenyang, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Suzhou, Ningbo, Qingdao, Shijiazhuang, Changchun, Hefei, Changsha, Nanning, Kunming and Quanzhou, which were also implemented in two phases. .
On August 18, 2014, the fourth batch of pilot cities was launched, including 10 cities: Harbin, Taiyuan, Nanchang, Guiyang, Dalian, Wuxi, Wenzhou, Zhongshan, Yantai, and Zhangzhou.
On April 15, 2015, the fifth batch of 11 cities opened including Haikou, Hohhot, Lanzhou, Yinchuan, Changzhou, Zhoushan, Huizhou, Weihai, Longyan, Guilin and Xuzhou.
