The relationship between oriental gorillas and humans

The eastern gorilla is now an endangered species. Being hunted as jungle meat and disappearing habitats are harmful to them. In some national parks, finding mountain gorillas is a popular tourism project, which has both positive and negative effects on their protection.

Compared with western gorillas, oriental gorillas rarely appear in zoos. Antwerp Zoo may be the only western zoo with oriental gorillas. Currently, there are no mountain gorillas.
