Introduction of two must-see scenic spots in Zhaoqing

Xinghu

Xinghu cruise ship is one of the main sightseeing projects of our leisure tourism. Xinghu Lake is in the north of Zhaoqing City. It is named after the crisscross of lakes and rocks. The name of Xinghu began in the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty (1636), and the stone carving Song of the Star Rock on Shishi Cliff. It was once called Li Lake, which means "Xi An Jiang Li Yu". It was rebuilt in 1955, with an area of 6.5 square kilometers and a storage capacity of12.5 million cubic meters. It is divided into Central Lake, Bohai Sea, East Lake, Honglian Lake, Qinglian Lake and Lihu Lake. These lakes are separated by dams. It is a beautiful scenic spot different from the West Lake in Hangzhou.

We boarded the boat from Paifang Square and began to visit the scenery of Xinghu Lake (including Wetland Park). On a cloudy day, Xinghu Lake is hazy and simple, like an ink painting.

Xinghu karst landform is connected with Guangxi and Yunnan-Guizhou, and its style is closer to Halong Bay in Vietnam, but more delicate than Halong Bay. Xinghu Lake in spring is a paradise on earth.

Lingyangxia

Antelope Gorge consists of Antelope Mountain and Michelle Mountain located in Shapu Town, Dinghu District on both sides of Xijiang River. Lanshan, the main peak of Lanshan, is 904 meters above sea level, with numerous peaks and rugged rocks. The top of Longmen Mountain, the main peak of Antelope Mountain, is 6 15 meters above sea level. The mountain is high and steep, close to the river bank. The canyon stretches for 7.5 kilometers, with narrow channels, deep riverbed and steep slopes on both sides. The width of the river near Zhaoqing City is more than 1000 meters, the width of the river at the entrance canyon is 330 meters, the narrowest part is only 200 meters, the average water depth is 48 meters, and the deepest part is 78 meters. The current is swift and the water is spinning. Antelope Gorge is the Xijiang Gorge most admired by outdoor lovers in Zhaoqing suburb. We chose to board the boat at Hou Li Ferry and enjoy the river view for about 20 minutes. We landed at Manjusri Ferry, enjoyed the rural scenery and tasted fresh Chinese food in the farmhouse under the big banyan tree next to the ferry.
