Liling City is a county-level city in Hunan Province.
Fenghuang Ancient City is located in the southwest of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province. It is named after the green hills on its back look like a phoenix with wings spread. This is a gathering place for ethnic minorities, mainly Miao and Tujia. Fenghuang Ancient City is a national 4A-level scenic spot. There are Shen Congwen's former residence and cemetery, Xiong Xiling's former residence, North Gate Tower, East Gate Tower, the city wall connecting the two towers, Hongqiao, Wanminglou and Wenchang Pavilion. There are 68 ancient buildings with cultural relics, 6 ancient ruins11,more than 20 houses with Ming and Qing characteristics1and more than 30 temples and pavilions, making it the county with the largest number of existing cultural relics in southwest China.
