Historical evolution

In the first year of Qianyuan of Tang Dynasty (758), Yongfeng County was established and named after it. In the seventh year of Yuanhe (812), it was revoked and merged into Shangrao County. In the seventh year of Song Xining's reign (1074), Yongfeng County was restored. In the Yuan Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province, and in the fourth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1371), it was under the jurisdiction of Jiangxi Province. In the 10th year of the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty (1732), because there was already Yongfeng in Jizhou and there was Fengxi River in the territory, Guangfeng County was established, which is close to "Yongfeng".

The area of ??present-day Guangfeng County belonged to Wu and Yue during the Spring and Autumn Period, and to Chu during the Warring States Period. In the 26th year of the First Emperor of Qin (221 BC), it belonged to Yuhan County, Jiujiang County; the northeastern corner of the county (referring to a small area that was delimited from Xujiang County (now Jiangshan City) in Quzhou when the county was established, the same below) belonged to Kuaiji County Taimo County. In the fourth year of Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty (203 BC), Jiujiang County was renamed Huainan Kingdom. In the sixth year, the Huainan Kingdom was divided into Yuzhang County, which administered Yuhan County, which today's Guangfeng territory belongs to. In the second year of Xingping (195), Wu Sunce divided Yuzhang into Luling County. Today's Guangfeng County belongs to Yuhan County of Luling County; the northeast corner belongs to Xin'an County of Kuaiji County. In the 15th year of Jian'an (210), Sun Quan divided Yuzhang County into Poyang County, and at the same time divided Yuhan's land into Geyang County. Today's county belongs to Geyang County, Poyang County, and the northeast corner still belongs to Xin'an County, Kuaiji County. In the Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, they all belonged to Geyang County, Poyang County. The northeast corner of the county belongs to Xin'an County, Dongyang County in the second year of Jin Taishi (266). In the first year of Taikang (280), Xin'an was renamed Xin'an. In the third year of Chen Tianjia's reign (562), he belonged to Xin'an County, Jinhua County.

In the second year of Kaihuang in Sui Dynasty (582), the northeast corner of the county belonged to Xin'an County in Wuzhou. In the third year of Daye (607), Geyang was renamed Yiyang, and the county belonged to Yiyang County, Poyang County; the northeast corner of the county belonged to Xin'an County, Dongyang County, Wuzhou. In the fourth year of Tang Wude (621), Poyang was changed to Raozhou, Shangrao County was established, and Yongfeng Town was established at the same time. It was named because of the Yongfeng Mountain in the territory, and it belonged to Shangrao County in Raozhou. Xujiang County is located in Fenxin'an, which is under the jurisdiction of Quzhou. The northeast corner of the county belongs to Xujiang County, Quzhou. In the seventh year of Wude (624), the province of Shangrao was transferred to Yiyang, under the jurisdiction of Raozhou; in the eighth year of Wude (625), the province of Xujiang was transferred to Xin'an, under the jurisdiction of Wuzhou. Today's county belongs to Yiyang County, Raozhou, and the northeast corner belongs to Xin'an County, Wuzhou. In the first year of Yongchang (689), Xujiang County was restored.

In the first year of Qianyuan of the Tang Dynasty (758), Xinzhou was divided into Yongfeng Town of Shangrao County and Yongfeng County was established in the southwest of Xujiang County of Quzhou. This was the beginning of the establishment of the county and was affiliated to Xinzhou. In the seventh year of Yuanhe (812), Yongfeng County of the province was transferred to Shangrao and reestablished as a town. During the Five Dynasties, the present-day Guangfeng County was Yongfeng Town, Shangrao County, Xinzhou.

During this period, Xinzhou was transferred to Wu in the second year of Kaiping (908) by Taizu Taizu of the Later Liang Dynasty; in the fourth year of Tianfu (939) of the Later Jin Dynasty, it was transferred to the Southern Tang Dynasty. In the eighth year of Kaibao's reign in the Song Dynasty (975), Xinzhou was transferred to Jiangdong Road. In the seventh year of Xining (1074), Yongfeng Town was restored to Yongfeng County, still under the jurisdiction of Xinzhou.

In the 14th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1277), Xinzhou was promoted to a road, under the jurisdiction of Xingzhongshu Province, and Yongfeng County belonged to Xinzhou Road. In the 20th year of Zhizheng (1360), Zhu Yuanzhang's troops took Hu Dahai to Xinzhou Road and renamed it Guangxin Prefecture. It administered Yongfeng County and was still under the jurisdiction of the province. In the fourth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1371), due to the inconvenience of water transportation under the jurisdiction of Guangxin Prefecture in Zhejiang Province, it was changed to Jiangxi Province, and all Yongfeng County belonged to Guangxin Prefecture. The Qing Dynasty followed the Ming system, but because Ji'an Prefecture also had Yongfeng County, Yongfeng County in Guangxin Prefecture was changed to Guangfeng County in the tenth year of Yongzheng (1732). During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was divided into 6 townships and 51 capitals.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the prefecture was abolished and the counties were directly under the province. In the third year of the Republic of China, the road was established, and Guangfeng County belonged to Yuzhang Road. After fifteen years of abolition, the counties were still directly under the province. From 21 to 31, the province was divided into administrative districts four times, and Guangfeng County all belonged to the sixth administrative district. During the Second Civil Revolutionary War, county, district and township Soviet regimes were established in Panling Mountain and its surrounding areas.

On May 5, 1949, Guangfeng was liberated, and the County People's Government was established on May 20, under the jurisdiction of Shangrao Prefecture, Northeastern Jiangxi Administrative Region.
