Practice of Original User Portrait —— What kind of people work outdoors?

The reason why I chose the category of "outdoor work" is because my work has accumulated something. To do this, we need to create a map function. This paper mainly describes the research process and user portrait.

Cut the gossip and get down to business:

First of all, who are we doing this for? On this basis, a user group is divided. Outdoor office workers are divided into several categories-tourism, construction, equipment inspection (railways, telecommunications, electricity, oil and gas), exploration and mapping, and bus/truck drivers.

Among them, travel mostly depends on high-speed rail, subway, cities and other public transportation, and activities in well-known urban areas can be met through existing maps; Construction is a permanent job with a small scope of activities; The bus has a fixed route, and the truck is on the existing map. It will be more advantageous if there is a special navigation service. Equipment inspection is in a wide area, through automatic driving or walking, many places are not in urban areas, and some even need to go to no man's land; Exploration and mapping often need very professional satellite data, and data are obtained by professional equipment. The accuracy of mobile phone GPS is limited, so it can only be used for reference.

On the whole, it is equipment inspection that needs maps, but the existing map applications are difficult to meet.

After data collection and background investigation, we began to look for relevant users (users of toB products, sometimes called customers) and contacted customers to follow up the field investigation.

User division

Send someone to follow the user to experience the process of walking and checking the equipment. In the whole process, we have a general understanding of this customer's equipment inspection work, and have further division criteria for user groups: position, education and age.

1. According to the position, it can be divided into three categories: leader, monitor and employee; Among them, leaders want employees to do their duty and employees want to reduce the workload.

2. According to academic qualifications, it can be divided into two categories: higher education groups and ordinary groups; The former is more suitable for the upgrade of mobile app, while the latter is relatively resistant to change and prefers to work with original paper, pens and forms.

3. According to age, it can be divided into three categories: under 30 years old, 30-45 years old and over 45 years old. Young people under the age of 30 are proficient in using mobile phones and computers, but they have relatively little work experience and lower positions. People over the age of 45 use only a few softwares such as WeChat, and some even use buttons, but the master has rich work experience and is familiar with the equipment. People aged 30-45 live in between.

Scene division

As for the workflow, it is generally divided into three stages: work plan formulation, on-the-way inspection, and post-inspection information sorting (this part belongs to the scene diagram, and it is also listed here to keep the content complete. )

1. In the work plan section, each work team has an established work area; According to the content of this work, divide the work tasks for each team member;

2. During the inspection, employees need to bring equipment first, drive to a facility location, make records after the inspection, then get on the bus and go to the next facility location. If the mountain road is difficult to walk and the car can't get there, they will choose to walk. Equipment is generally distributed in suburbs, towns, fields and other places, and occasionally needs to enter the mountains.

3. Information arrangement after inspection: including text information and picture information.

Discovered thorny problems

1. Most of the roads visited are rural roads, and there are almost no roads on the map; Every patrol needs experienced old drivers to lead the way, while young employees have too little experience and usually can't remember the specific road. A large part of the whole inspection process was spent during driving.

2. During the inspection, teams fight. A team of about 7 people, 3 people touch the equipment, 3 people are responsible for recording and security monitoring, and one person drives.

3. On-site writing was recorded with pen and paper, and the camera took photos with scattered records.

4. The signal in some positions of the work site is very poor, which can't guarantee the continuous supply of traffic. But the GPS signal is good.

come to a conclusion

1. The existing navigation can't solve the problem of missing basic data, and users need to indicate the path by recording the trajectory. Experienced masters lead the team to work once, record the tracks along the way and share them with colleagues for your convenience.

2. It is necessary to ensure the normal operation of the App offline.

Talk with leaders, monitor and employees respectively to understand their job roles and personality attributes.

Leadership is relatively gentle, but it also has control and decision-making power. The leader is the decision-maker of product procurement.

Monitor often has a relatively good academic background, easy-going personality and practical work. Monitor is the supervisor of product use.

Many new employees are post-90s, with a background in science and engineering, a technically minded personality and a down-to-earth attitude. Old employees are people who have worked in the same position for many years and have the qualifications and experience of old employees, so as to gain the respect of young people. Their personalities are relatively unexpected but a little impatient. They work hard and have a sense of ownership. Employees are the end users of products.

Combined with the previous contents, the target users are summarized as: employees and monitor under 45 who are willing to accept new things, and leaders who are willing to try to improve their work efficiency.

From this, the user portraits of three typical target users are summarized (all using pseudonyms here)

Leader: Li Gongnan, 42, from a third-tier city, likes to travel, loves his family, and pays attention to stocks, alcohol and tobacco in his spare time. 1) military attributes: military background, generous attitude towards subordinates, strict work requirements. 2) Actively looking forward to the breakthrough: willing to try to improve the quality of work. 3) Personality color: military green.

Monitor: Liu Gongnan, 27, a native of second-tier cities, with a master's degree in 985, is moderate and simple, and occasionally spits about smog and traffic jams. 1) Peace of mind: There is a slight gap between work and expectation, but I am not depressed or resentful, and I keep working hard for the progress of my work. 2) Positive work and strong execution: when you need or ask for help, you can often respond in time and the work quality is high; Attractive among team members. 3) Exploration spirit: I will take the initiative to find problems and find solutions or tools. 4) Pay attention to practical results: Pay attention to the efficacy of things, not the strength of things used. 5) I will have dinner with my colleagues on weekends, and I can drink well. 5) Personality colors: dark blue and white.

Employee: Sun Gongnan, 23 years old, a third-tier city, graduated with a bachelor's degree. 1) Being low-key: Although he is the leader of inspection work, he keeps a low profile in front of old employees and talks less. 2) Small personality: I don't want to wear outdoor work clothes issued by the company, but prefer to wear my own coat and shoes. 3) Not demanding: willing to accept new things, but not expressing strong opinions on them. 4) Personality color: advanced gray

* * * Sexual needs pursue work quality and efficiency, and are willing to try. Looking forward to improving the status quo, I am willing to use gentle means to promote this change.

Differentiated leaders want employees to do every step according to the job requirements and strictly supervise them, and employees want to reduce the workload.

The user's working environment is sparsely populated places such as outdoor suburbs and villages.

The above contents correspond to the design and serve the design. Corresponding demand, service products.

On this basis, product design can be carried out. Because it involves the company's product information, here are a few points:

1) The outdoor lighting is strong, and the products are selected with contrasting colors, which are clear and eye-catching.

2) Choose a relatively neutral main color.

3) Minimize user input on the App side, and use clicks and voices instead of text input to reduce user stay.

4) Record any information that can be recorded completely to ensure the integrity of working data.

5) Choose a more intuitive and accurate information description strategy, provide maps when addresses are needed, and match words for each schematic diagram. Reduce the confusion of users in the process of information browsing.

6) Team cooperation mode, providing information sharing services among colleagues, and improving data utilization.

Above.
