One-day tour guide to Xiaojianshan

Xiaojianshan is located in Yangcheng County, Shanxi Province. It is a Buddhist temple. The mountain roads here are steep and the buildings built on the top of the mountains have a unique flavor when you go up there. You will feel like you are looking at the small mountains at a glance. Let me share with you the one-day tour guide to Xiaojianshan.

After breakfast, my family recommended going to Xiaojianshan in Yangcheng. It is a steep mountain with unique scenery and a long history. It is a holy place for children, marriage and medicine. When I asked if it was far, I said it was not far, one morning would be enough. I was dubious. I always asked people in the mountains for directions, and the answer was always that it was not far. All the roads they took were not far. We don’t ask for too much, we just want to enjoy the scenery. Since it’s not far, let’s go. ?

We turned from the entrance of Ehuang Valley onto the road leading to Yangcheng. After walking for less than five kilometers, we reached a ridge and saw the sign "Yangcheng Welcomes You". After turning this corner, The road surface suddenly turned into an old and dilapidated narrow cement road, with landslides and rocks often blocking the road on the side of the mountain. I thought that the road to Xiaojianshan would be as wide and smooth as the Qinshui County boundary, but I was really wrong.

The Yangcheng government does not expect to develop tourism in Qinshui Shunwangping Nuying Gorge Ehuang Valley, so naturally it will not spend money to repair this section of road.

Driving carefully, the car descended in the mountains. It passed a village first, and then the Song family. The houses were abandoned and there were almost no residents. The grass in the yard grew higher than the courtyard wall. It was not far ahead. The Maesatsu family where I live has a large population, and there are many crops planted outside the yards, which look like they have been taken care of. Passing by Kouhe Village, we can finally see a piece of flat land. In the past, students from Dongchuan who went to school in Jincheng had to take a bus from Jincheng to Yangcheng, and then walk 20 kilometers over the mountains and ridges to get to Dongchuan. They often used Shuikou Village as a resting place on the way, or they had to take a bus from Jincheng to Qinshui. Go to Zhongcun and then hike 30 kilometers to Dongchuan. It is faster to walk to Yangcheng. Students who have gone through this kind of hiking training will not be able to adapt to those outdoor activities when they grow up.

After passing Kouhe Village, the car climbed another hill and arrived at Xiaojianshan. The whole journey is about 15 kilometers, which is really not far. ?

The characteristic of Xiaojianshan is that "the mountain is as sharp as plastic, with cliffs thousands of feet tall, and its top is as strong as a sharp edge, reaching straight into the sky." From a distance, it looks like a peak standing on a basin, with a peak on the top. A red house is very conspicuous. The surrounding terrain is low, but it reaches straight into the sky. There is no charge in the scenic area. If you take a battery car to and from the mountain, it costs eight yuan. It is very cheap. We do not charge for the efficacies of the gods in the temple to hinder the worship of faithful men and women. The people of Yangcheng have a very high ideological level.

There was no obstruction around the battery car, so we were blown by the mountain wind, admiring the green scenery of the mountains beside the road. We laughed and laughed all the way to a platform. The young driver pointed to a sign on the roadside and called the phone and said, Make this call when you go down the mountain, and I will come up to pick you up. It seems that we are the only tourists in the whole mountain, and the Xiaojianshan Scenic Area is reserved for us. Later I learned that the busiest time here is February 2nd, and there are many people on weekends. ?

Walking along the tree-lined path, first down and then up, you will see green trees on both sides, the oxygen content is extremely high, and you will feel refreshed.

After a while, we arrived at a platform with a gatehouse made of pure branches. The roof, walls, and railings were not made of bricks, tiles, or stones, but were all made of branches as thick as an arm.

Going up further, you can see the stone gatehouse with the words "Jianshan Thousand Buddha Temple" written on it. It is a light red color that has been eroded by wind and rain. There is a circle of wooden stools in the shade of the trees in front of the gatehouse. After walking up this section, On the mountain road, those of us who don’t often climb mountains were so tired that we quickly sat down to drink water and rest. Some people who didn't rest rushed into the gatehouse to ring the bell, but they only rang three times.

There are several small round holes built on the wall next to the big clock, which are viewing windows. You can see the layers of green under the clouds and mist outside, and the domineering Buddha's Light Hall directly opposite the gate tower. There is a couplet "Thousands of mountains have worshiped on the top of thousands of peaks, and lonely clouds still lie on Xiaojianshan".

After passing the Foguang Hall and walking up, I saw the Lingguan Hall. It said, "Three eyes take in everything in the world, and one whip wakes up the world." The distance of a few hundred meters has already changed from the previous one. Buddhism switched to Taoism. ?

Further up is the red house that you can see when looking from the bottom of the mountain. It says "Xiaojianshan Thousand Buddha Temple". This house is the bell tower of Xiaojianshan, and the couplet reads "Tianzunhua_(Public) ) Teach the hole to open up the universe, and the Qi Zu Yan Dao Shuttle leads to the sun and the moon." ?

Going through the bell tower and going up the steps, directly opposite is the Patriarch's Hall. The introduction says, "In this hall is Taishang Laojun on the right and Emperor Xuanwu on the left. It is said that Situ Qi was granted the title of Xiaojianshan when he was old in the Shun Dynasty. He served Xuanwu all his life and built a fairy hall to worship him." It is said that King Qixuan was a Situ during the Yao Dynasty. He assisted Dayu in flood control. Stories of flood control continued to occur in the areas of Shunwangping, Xixia and Xiaojianshan. See In ancient times, this area was most likely a vast ocean. The "Qizu" on the door of the bell tower also refers to Situ Qi. The couplet on the Patriarch's Hall is "

The Tao is truly enlightened, and the source of the spirit is returned to tranquility;

The devil is subdued by force, and he will also be angry and majestic." The Patriarch's Hall is the highest on the mountain. There is a cliff behind the building, and the compact pavilions on the left are enshrined in statues of the Jade Emperor and Guandi. The land at the highest point is precious, and the space occupied by the gods is pitifully small, and the passage is even narrower, only one person wide. There is a very steep slope on the right side of the Patriarch's Hall, with almost vertical steps leading to the courtyard on a small platform below. There are three beautiful houses covered with green glazed tiles, namely the Guanyin Temple and the Gao Temple. The Matchmaker Hall and the Medicine King Hall are responsible for three things: seeking children, seeking marriage, and seeking health.

We grabbed the rope backwards and walked around the small courtyard. The old man watching the temple told us that there is a millet cave below. This old man is really nice. He has been with us since we entered the bell tower. He always introduces us to the scenery and allusions here when necessary. He tells us that the outermost mountain is Wangwu Mountain, which leads to Jiyuan, Henan. On the right It leads to Yunmeng Mountain, with the Eighteen Arhat Peaks nearby. You can see them all when the weather is good. Below is Henghe Village, which the locals pronounce as "Yellow River Village". I always thought that the Yellow River was at the foot of the mountain, but later I found out that when the weather is good, You can see the Yellow River. "When you climb to the top, you can faintly see a line of the Yellow River flowing eastward, and you can have a panoramic view of thousands of ravines, smoke, villages, fog and trees." It seems that Henghe is not too far away from the Yellow River. ?

Going down to Guzi Cave, there was a burst of cold air as soon as I entered the cave. It was pitch black inside and I couldn't see anything. I followed the warm reminder of the old man who was watching the temple and turned on the flashlight on my phone, but there was nothing there. Everyone else went in, so I might as well avoid being so cold. I went to the cave entrance and read the introduction: "Guiguzi Cave is also called Guiguzi Cave. Guiguzi's original name was Wang Chan. He used to travel, collect medicine, cultivate himself, and write books." He was listed as a disciple of the Pre-Qin Dynasty. It is said that after practicing in this cave, he entered the Yunmeng Buddhist shrine and accepted his famous disciples Sun Bin, Pang Juan, Su Qin and Zhang Yi. He died at the age of 140. His book "捭阖CE" was called a strange person through the ages. It is a must-read strategy book for the government, enterprise, business, management, public relations and other industries. "Believe it or not, it is still possible to live to be 140 years old and have the legendary spring water and clean air on the top of the mountain. ?

From Guzi Cave, we returned to the entrance of the small courtyard of Guanyin Hall. According to what the old man at the temple told us, we did not climb the upright ladder, but went down the mountain around a path behind the Patriarch Hall. On the other side of the path is an upright cliff. I took a peek at this cliff. It is so deep that it takes a long time to make a sound when I throw a stone. It is probably because of such a steep mountain that it is named Xiaojianshan. We passed quickly and returned to the gatehouse of "Jianshan Thousand Buddha Temple" to rest. Suddenly I felt a bit regretful that I didn't burn incense properly because my family said that when I was a child, I often took the elixir that my parents brought back from Yaowang Temple, but this was my first time to visit. In Xiaojianshan, people have grown up to be over forty, and it’s time to thank Lord Yao. Then he turned around and climbed up the mountain to the Patriarch's Hall. Panting for a while, he huffed and puffed and explained the purpose of his visit to the old man who was visiting the temple. He asked for incense. If he didn't want the money, he put the money into the merit box. Then he burned incense and worshiped Buddha earnestly, praying for the good health of the whole family. The children, relatives and friends were all safe and healthy, so I went down the mountain with satisfaction, and returned to the parking lot in a battery car full of mountain breeze. ?

The staff at the parking lot asked about our origins. We came from Dongchuan. Is the road easy to walk? How far is it to Shunwangping? We are planning cross-county travel. The elderly in our family. He warmly invited him to come for a trip and told him to come to me and I would take you to the terrace. Haha, we are so close to everyone. We were strangers one minute ago, but soon we will become guests and friends. ?

The return journey was fast, but when there was a drop of rain, I was thinking about the landslide on the road and did not dare to slow down. I tried to pass the county boundary before the rain started. After all, the road surface in Qinshui County boundary was very good. We were cautious all the way, and when we passed the county line, everyone cheered that we were finally safe. They even happily pretended to be animals and took photos under the "Dangerous Animals" sign on the roadside. The invisible dangerous animals in the mountains and forests are not scary, but the visible landslides on the winding mountain road on rainy days are too scary. ?

Xiaojianshan, a holy place that is not far away but dangerous, has beautiful scenery and has a long history.
