How many meters is the deepest part of Kanas Lake?

The deepest part of Kanas is 188.5m, which is located at the northernmost border of Xinjiang, between Altay mountains, and in the north of Burqin county in Altay region, with an area of 45 square kilometers, about 160 kilometers away from the county seat. Altitude 1370 meters, 24.5 kilometers long. It is one of the most famous scenic spots in Xinjiang.

Kanas Lake

The lake is crescent-shaped, with an east coast and six platforms protruding from the center of the lake. The viewing platform in the third bay is the best place to enjoy the sunset on the lake. The fish-watching platform on Camel Peak on the west bank of the lake is the best angle overlooking Kanas Lake, with a panoramic view of three-quarters of the lake and mountains around it.

Hemu village

Hemu Village is located in Burqin County, Altay region, northern Xinjiang, about 30 kilometers east of Kanas Lake. This is a small village where Kazakhs and Tuwa people live together. The houses here are all made of logs, full of primitive flavor.

Points for attention in Kanas play

1. Xinjiang has a dry climate and ultraviolet rays are much stronger than those in mainland cities. Sunscreen and moisturizing are very important all year round.

2. Kanas is located in high latitude inland area, with great temperature difference between day and night. It is not unusual for the temperature difference to be above 20 degrees every day. Even if you go in summer, you should prepare some warm clothes. Never bring sunscreen as thin as silk to Kanas.
