What are the ways to find creativity in tourism planning?

1. Reference method

Through extensive investigation and data collection, we may get some ideas similar to those planned. On this basis, combined with the specific situation of the planned object, new content is added to similar ideas, which are modified, changed and processed to form new ideas.

2. Perceptual cognitive methods

Although planning activities is a creative thinking process, it is not enough for planners to just sit and rack their brains to come up with ideas. Planners need to go out of the studio, conduct on-the-spot investigation and market research on the planned objects, actively participate in the production, management and consumption of tourism products, talk with producers, wholesalers, retailers and consumers of various tourism products, often visit elites in the same industry, hold more symposiums, and visit enterprises with successful planning experience to gain perceptual knowledge. On this basis, you will often get new inspiration and creativity.

3. Cumulative method

Many good ideas are generated on the basis of data and information accumulation, and the reuse of good experiences often leads to new ideas. The common accumulation methods include excerpts, newspaper clippings, field observation, participation in planning symposiums and academic seminars, and learning new theories and ideas in planning.

4. Association method

Associative method is a creative way to think about one thing and phenomenon in connection with other things and phenomena. It can be divided into related association method, unrelated idea, similar association method, reverse association method, free association method and so on.
