How is the ancient city of Fenghuang now? Is it still worth traveling?

Although the reputation of Fenghuang ancient city is not as good as before, I think it is not bad now and it is worth visiting.

Some time ago, I went once. In the afternoon when I first arrived, I thought it was a little too commercial and noisy, but sitting on the edge of Tuojiang River that night, listening to the songs of wandering singers, I suddenly calmed down and began to like this place.

The next morning, a person walked quietly on the bluestone board beside the Tuojiang River, stepped on the wind and rain bridge, and watched the ships crossing the river occasionally. I think this is the real phoenix. Unfortunately, many tourists only feel the drunken night of Phoenix, but not the quiet morning.

I have been to Lijiang, Dali and Shangri-La in Yunnan, Zhaoxing Dong Village, Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village and Bazaar Miao Village in southeastern Guizhou, Huangyao in Guangxi, Shuanglang and Xizhou in Yunnan. I think Phoenix has given me the most aura and charm.

Going to Phoenix in May, there are not many tourists and accommodation is not very expensive. I live in a riverside inn in the middle reaches of Tuojiang River, and my room is not by the river. Usually 100 yuan a night. Phoenix in April and May is often drizzling. It feels like the plot described in the novel, holding an oil-paper umbrella and walking on the bluestone board by the Tuojiang River.

The most beautiful time of Phoenix is early morning, and there are few tourists on the road, only occasional boats cross the river. Go upstream or downstream along the Qingshiban Road beside the Tuojiang River, stand on the wind and rain bridge and overlook the Diaojiao Building on both sides of the Tuojiang River to feel the true beauty of the Phoenix.

Or at night, sitting by the Tuojiang River, listening to the songs of wandering singers, although the two sides are brightly lit, I feel that my heart is quiet and the excitement belongs to others.

An ancient city with water, aura, literati and charm, the Tuojiang River in Phoenix is as green as jade, and Shen Congwen and Huang Yongyu in Phoenix are famous all over the world.

Thousands of households in Xijiang also have Xijiang, but there is too little water, and they always feel that the gas field is not enough, which is not as charming as Phoenix. Lijiang and Dali ancient cities seem to be more suitable for life and lack the artistic conception of Fenghuang ancient city.

So, although Phoenix is not as famous as before, I personally like it and think it is worth going. Don't join the group, don't travel in a hurry in one day, you can stay for two or three days, savor it carefully and feel it slowly.
