Is individual travel allowed in North Korea?
North Korea does not allow individuals to travel. In North Korea, you can't travel alone as you like in other countries. You can only travel with a group. North Korean tour guides greet tourists immediately after they arrive at the North Korean airport or railway station, and then accompany them all the way. Even if tourists arrive in North Korea alone (sometimes it happens to English-speaking tourists), or only a few tourists arrive in North Korea, they will still be regarded as a tour group, accompanied by two North Korean tour guides, and travel strictly according to the established tour itinerary. North Korea is a different country, and there are relatively many strictly prohibited items for tourists. In the meantime, we must understand them carefully and strictly abide by them.
