The Red Journey of Shaoshan's 600-word Composition

I really want to visit Shaoshan! So I pestered my father to take me to Shaoshan, but my father just wouldn't.

One Sunday morning, the weather was fine. My father took me to Shaoshan. When I got off the bus, I saw the tall and mighty bronze statue of Chairman Mao shining in the sun, and I couldn't help but respect it. So with the flow of tourists, first bow to Chairman Mao's portrait.

We went to the place where Chairman Mao lived when he was a child. My father said that Chairman Mao's former residence was the same as then. A closer look reveals an old adobe house with a pond in front of it. My father said that this was the pond where Chairman Mao swam. The house is surrounded by green trees. This is really a good place to spend the summer.

After visiting the place where Chairman Mao lived as a child, we came to the Drip Cave. When we entered the cave, we saw patches of green grass. Further on, we saw the house after Chairman Mao became chairman. This house is luxurious, bright and spacious, which is a far cry from the house where I lived when I was a child.

It is getting late. We should go back. We reluctantly left Shaoshan. When I got home, I saw the portrait of Chairman Mao on the wall, and suddenly I felt very close, as if his People's Republic of China (PRC) Declaration was still in my ear. Today is the hardest day for me to look forward to.
