Suzhou (Wuzhong) Taihu Lake Scenic Area is the largest 5A-level scenic spot in China built by Wuzhong District People's Government by integrating the tourism resources around Taihu Lake. The total area of the scenic spot is 2 1.5 square kilometers, including Suzhou Taihu Tourism National Resort, Dongshan Scenic Area, Wangshan Scenic Area and Qiongshan Scenic Area, covering the core area and essence resources of Taihu Lake tourism in Wuzhong.

Wuzhong District occupies 60% of the waters and most of the islands of Taihu Lake, owns 80% of Suzhou hills and mountains, and monopolizes Taihu Lake 13 6 scenic spots planned by the State Council. There are 6 national 4A-level scenic spots, 3 national historical and cultural towns, 2 famous villages, 7 national cultural protection units, 1 world-class intangible cultural heritage and 9 national-level heritage. Ancient buildings, cultural relics and cultural relics of ancient villages and towns are all over the region.
