Zhangye scenic spot

Zhangye City, known as Ganzhou in ancient times, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Gansu Province in China, located in the northwest of Gansu Province and in the middle of Hexi Corridor. The city borders Wuwei City and jinchang in the east, Haibei Prefecture in Qinghai Province in the south, Jiuquan City, Jiayuguan City and Haixi Prefecture in Qinghai Province in the west, and Alashan League in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the north. The scenic spots in the city are: Colorful Danxia Scenic Area in Zhangye, Pingshan Lake Grand Canyon, Dahuwan, Shandan Buddhist Temple, Yan Zhi and other places.

1. Zhangye Danxia Geopark is located at the northern foot of Qilian Mountain, 30 kilometers south of Linze County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province. It is one of the areas with the largest and best landform development and the richest landform modeling in China. It is a typical representative of colorful Danxia and lattice Gongdanxia in China, and has high scientific research and tourism appreciation value. In June, 2005, China Geography magazine and 34 national media jointly held the "Most Beautiful Places in China" selection, and was selected as one of the "Seven Most Beautiful Danxia in China". 20 15 was selected as the top 25 dream travel destinations in the world by many well-known domestic websites. Zhangye Danxia landform is the only compound area of Danxia landform and colorful hilly landscape in China.

2. The Pingshan Lake Grand Canyon in Zhangye is about 25 kilometers away from Zhangye City. It is the closest compound scenic spot in China, which integrates natural wonders, canyon exploration, geological research, ethnic customs and self-driving cross-country. It is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Zhangye Geomorphological Landscape Grand View Garden! It has been praised as "comparable to Zhangjiajie", "comparable to the Grand Canyon" and the new discovery of the Silk Road by China Geography magazine and well-known geological experts and tourists at home and abroad! After hundreds of millions of years of vicissitudes, nature is magical. Here, the canyon is deep and the peak forest is strange. With unique creativity, nature carves colorful mountains into unparalleled and breathtaking landscapes. The elevation of Pingshan Lake Grand Canyon in Zhangye is 1500 to 2550 meters. The canyon is characterized by flowing water and gullies, and the mountain is low and gentle, with Shashi Mountain as the background. Red, white and ochre are the main colors, and the colors are slightly gloomy. Most of them are conical or columnar with strange shapes.

3. Dahuwan Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in the hinterland of Gao Tai agricultural area. It is a national 4A-level scenic spot and a water park integrating tourism, leisure and vacation. Dahuwan Scenic Area is mainly composed of two reservoirs, Dahuwan and Xiyaodun, with a total area of 10 square kilometers, of which the water area is 5 square kilometers. The scenic spot is low-lying and rich in water resources, which is suitable for many kinds of birds to inhabit, breed and plant plants. There are more than 20 kinds of migratory birds, including black stork and other national first-class protected animals, swan, white stork, yellow duck and other second-class protected animals. It is an important gathering area for migratory birds, with a vegetation coverage rate of 95%. It was rated as "National Water Conservancy Scenic Area" by the Ministry of Water Resources and "National AAA Scenic Area" by the National Tourism Administration. At present, it is being declared as a national 4A scenic spot. It is a water ecological park integrating aquaculture, agricultural irrigation, sightseeing and ecological protection.
