Huanggang, a prefecture-level city in Hubei Province, is located in the east of Hubei Province, at the southern foot of Dabie Mountain, on the north bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and in the middle section of Beijing-Kowloon Railway.

It has jurisdiction over 7 counties of Hong 'an, Luotian, Yingshan, Xishui, Qichun, Huangmei and Tuanfeng, 2 cities of Wuxue and Macheng, Huangzhou District, Longgan Lake Management Zone and Huanggang Economic Development Zone, with a territory area of 17400 square kilometers and a total population of 755438+08.

History and culture have a long history. Huanggang is connected with the mountains and rivers of Wuhan, the provincial capital, and is an important part of Wuhan city circle. The territory is adjacent to a golden waterway (Yangtze River), two airports (Wuhan Tianhe Airport and Jiujiang Airport) and six railways (Beijing-Kowloon Railway, Hejiu Railway, Shanghai Express Railway, Wuma Railway, Xingang Jiangbei Railway and Wuhan Intercity Railway).
