Wuyishan Mansion Bridge

at about 8: 5 on the 14th, the northern end of Wuyishan Mansion Bridge in Wuyishan City, Fujian Province collapsed. A tourist bus with the license plate number of Fujian H3953 fell under the bridge, causing one death and 22 injuries. All the injured people have been sent to the local hospital for treatment.

It is reported that the bus involved in the accident belongs to Wuyishan Bus Express Tourist Passenger Transport Co., Ltd., with 35 seats approved, with 23 passengers on board and 21 tourists from Fuyang, Anhui.

After the accident, the main leaders of Wuyishan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government rushed to the scene at the first time to fully organize personnel rescue, on-site traffic guidance and emergency treatment after the accident.

It is understood that the bridge was completed and opened to traffic on November 2th, 1999. Wuyishan Mansion Bridge, designed by Fujian Provincial Transportation Planning and Design Institute and undertaken by Fujian Forestry Engineering Company, is a half-through steel arch bridge with a total length of 31 meters and a width of 18 meters. Construction started on November 8, 1996, with a total investment of about 17 million yuan. It is a transportation hub leading to Nanwu Road (provincial highway 11) in the south of Wuyishan Resort.
