Is the shady secret behind low-price travel in Beijing true?
Low-price travel routines
Fake regular travel agencies to collect customers at low prices
In areas where foreign tourists gather such as Tiananmen Square, there is always a group of people holding leaflets and enthusiastic I asked you if you want to go to the Badaling Great Wall.
RMB 100 includes transportation, food and tickets, and you can also pick up passengers to watch the flag-raising for free.
If you ask them what kind of travel agency they are, most of them will say that they are China Travel Service or Youth Hostel, and some will say that they are staff of the Beijing Tourism Distribution Center. They come out to solicit tourists in order to facilitate tourists to join tour groups.
Some people also have flyers with fake seals from travel agencies, insurance companies, and consumer associations to confuse tourists and lower their vigilance to join their illegal groups.
Open your mouth and collect money as soon as the bus starts moving
If you join their individual travel group, the money will be charged 100 yuan immediately, and then you will be asked to wait in the bus for others FIT.
After waiting for an hour or two, it was finally time to set off, and the black tour guide’s horn would sound.
The original 100 yuan covers everything, but when you get to the car, you can only cover part of it, so you will be asked to pay more. If you don't pay, you can't play.
It is impossible to quit the group, the bus will not let you off.
Don’t talk about attractions and encourage shopping
The tour guides of the regular team will introduce tourists to the attractions, relevant knowledge and precautions of the attractions in the car.
This kind of black group introduces shopping around scenic spots, what is good, cheap, free returns, etc. Anyway, it is to make you feel that you are losing money if you don't buy it.
Compress the visit time to the scenic spot and no commentary service
When you arrive at the scenic spot, the black tour guide will tell you how many minutes it takes to visit the xx scenic spot, and you will not wait if you are late.
This time is usually only two-thirds or even half of that of a regular team, so it is impossible to play well.
So you either have to rush back and forth, or you can only wander around for a while and then come back. The tour guide will disappear as soon as you are sent to the scenic spot.
On the way back, a scam was launched at Laoxiang Store
The real "mystery" of the fraud is on the way back: tour guides will tell tourists that all vehicles entering Beijing require "security inspection."
And used this as an excuse to park the car at the so-called "resting place" along the highway into Beijing, that is, the "Laoxiang Store".
"Laoxiang shop" is a term used in the tourism industry for "roadside shops" near scenic spots. As the name suggests, they pretend to be legitimate tourist shops. This kind of "fellow shop" specializes in "low-price travel" tourists.
After entering the "resting place", there are always multiple commentators on site. They use the "vehicle security inspection" time to work with the tour guide to sell jade to tourists.
During the promotion process, the "Laoxiang Store" will "transform" into a regular and famous jade company, and the company's boss is a jade expert, well-known at home and abroad.
After all the preparations have been made, the "boss" can finally make his grand appearance.
And the "bosses" always have "happy events at home" every time. Not only do they generously present a piece of "Myanmar Jade" to all tourists, but they also sell in-store jade to tourists at a 10% discount, tempting them to Tourists buy. As everyone knows, these "cheap" precious jades are all fakes.
How to break through these tricks of scammers?
1 Don’t go to ultra-low prices such as 20 yuan, 30 yuan, 50 yuan, 80 yuan, or 100 yuan, 120 yuan, or 150 yuan.
Just remember this sentence! Don't go...don't go to any of them...
2 The purpose of soliciting customers with a smile is to increase the number of customers. For small street advertising flyers, for example, if the price is 100 or 120, you can counter-offer to dozens of yuan in order to make a profit.
There is an extra charge for changing your face as soon as you get on the bus, and you will definitely be taken to jade shops and other places for shopping.
3 The same car has different prices. Because if it is a combination of soliciting customers on the street, and some people counteroffer and others do not, the amount paid by each of you in the same car will be different.
Even at the Beijing Tourism Distribution Center, there are online booking prices, and the prices are different for seniors and children.
4 The real places to "pay the tour fee" are: Ruixiang and other jade shops, souvenir shops, buying Ping'an brands to pray to Buddha and drive away ghosts, fortune-telling in the fairy cave, and free consultations with traditional Chinese medicine + high drug fees. . . . .
5 Kidnapping ticket joint sale - after buying the ticket, you also need to buy the ropeway ticket, the interpretation fee, the tickets for the small attractions in the scenic spot, the Ming Palace photography copyright fee... For this kind of bundled purchase Be wary of tickets.
When consumers travel, they should choose regular travel agencies with good reputations; at the same time, when consumers go on self-driving or self-guided suburban tours for dining and accommodation, they should choose qualified farmhouses for dining and accommodation.
