Although it takes a lot of energy to prepare and everything has to be confirmed by ourselves, the overall feeling is that all this hard work is very worthwhile, which also increases our determination to set off for more distant destinations in the future.

Let's talk about the process of choosing a destination first: In fact, since the end of 2008, Zhang Ge and I were group friends when we were traveling with a group in Phuket. Because we hit it off very well, we kept in touch after returning to China and often ate and went shopping together. ) There is a travel plan, which originally chose Australia, Japan or France as the destination, because Zhang Ge and others have been to Boracay in the Philippines in mid-2008, and they don't want to go to that island again, but they still checked. At that time, the prices in Australia and Japan were very inappropriate, and it was difficult to get a visa for free travel to France. Besides, two other members of our group, Lv Xiao and Zhou Xiao, did not have such a long holiday. After many discussions, Bali, Maldives and Saipan were finally determined as the preparation destinations. I looked up the characteristics of three destinations online. Bali is the most famous tourist island in Indonesia, Saipan is an American island near Guam, not to mention Maldives. After browsing many travel guides of predecessors, I feel that the cost in Maldives is really a bit high (it is really not as good as going to Australia with that money), and Saipan seems to have nothing to play. Finally, I decided to set Bali as my destination (thanks to Zhang Ge, I went to Southeast Asian islands three times in two years, haha). Well, to choose Bali, we should first introduce the general situation of Bali: Bali is the brightest pearl among the more than 17,000 islands in the Indonesian archipelago. With natural creativity, the woodcarving, handicrafts and batik clothing made by local people are also amazing. Bali can be said to be a volcanic island. A series of volcanic belts pass through the horizontal hills north of the island center from east to west. Due to the vast volcanic soil and favorable Indian monsoon, the island is fertile, with world-famous terraced rice barns in the south and coffee, coconut and spices planted on the north bank. Bali is also a mysterious "Island of God". Most residents of the island believe in Hinduism. There are more than 10 thousand temples on the island, and there are many sacrificial ceremonies, large and small. Bali's politics, economy, people's life and artistic creation are closely related to religion. Even in today's prevailing western culture, people here still maintain and follow the traditions and lifestyles left over from the old times. There are 3 million people on the island, and most villages are made up of many families. Each village has its own village head, village committee and security guards, which are large in scale and closely linked. Geographical location Bali is located 8 degrees south of the equator, between Java Island and Lombok Island, the largest island in Indonesia, with a total area of 5,632 square kilometers, east-west length 140 kilometers and north-south length of about 80 kilometers. Because it is in the same time zone as Beijing, you don't have to worry about jet lag when you travel here. Climate Bali has a tropical climate, and the temperature stays above 28 degrees Celsius all the year round. Only in the mountainous areas inland on the island, due to the higher terrain, the temperature is slightly lower, about 25 degrees Celsius. It will be lower in the morning and evening. Let's talk about the preparation work after determining the destination: in fact, the most important work before the self-help tour is two parts: determining the air ticket and hotel, and determining the daily itinerary. After calculation and discussion, we decided to leave at the end of February and come back in early March. The whole trip is controlled in 6 to 8 days. First, we chose free travel products on Ctrip. To know that the flight delay rate of Beijing Airport is almost 50%, so we quickly changed our itinerary and switched to SIA round trip. On the way back, I stopped at Changi Airport for 5 hours and visited the duty-free shops in terminals T2 and T3 of Changi Airport, which is famous in Asia. The plane ticket is booked, so let's start choosing a hotel. With the experience of traveling with a group last time, I decided to choose a good hotel this time, otherwise it would affect the exclusive quality.
