Recently, I was asked by many friends about Guilin's travel strategy. The intermittent answers in WeChat are not convenient for friends to understand. So I wrote this article, which is a relatively complete summary.

I have been to Guilin twice, once from Guangzhou to complete the first cross-provincial cycling. One was a one-month volunteer trip during the winter vacation (including the Chinese New Year), and I found my own way to travel.

After two trips, I learned more about Guilin. I still feel like I'm having a good time. When I was a volunteer, the streets and alleys were mixed well, and it was not an exaggeration to be called half a local.

Guilin is the best in the world, and Yangshuo Guilin is the first. Yangshuo, known as the most beautiful county in China, is definitely the focus of this trip. This small county is hidden in many strange mountains, like a paradise.

OK: Take the high-speed train directly from Guangzhou to Yangshuo Station, with the ticket 1 17, and it takes two hours by car. High-speed railway station is more than 20 kilometers away from the county seat, an hour's drive, and the fare is 30 yuan. Take a bus at South Bus Station to the intersection of West Street. The fare is one yuan.

Live: Personally, I suggest living near West Street, which is convenient for visiting West Street at night. If you like excitement and want to know more people, you can consider staying in a youth brigade, but you must pay attention to your personal safety and property safety. You can also experience the theme inn. The guests in the theme inn are also very interesting. It is more cost-effective for two people to live in a room. Travel advice is to go in the off-season, there are few people, the accommodation is not expensive, and you can also experience the river view room with French windows.

Eat: Needless to say, beer fish is a specialty of Guilin. Master, Sister Liu Can has left. There are also Guilin rice noodles, which can be seen everywhere. There are also many snacks in West Street and Guihua Road, such as stewed snails, super octopus roast, fish cakes and so on, which can satisfy the desire to eat food.

In the morning, you can also go to the place where bread is sold to find local special breakfast. There is a kind of cake near Furong Road Vegetable Market. I forgot the name. It's delicious anyway.

Or go to the breakfast shop near the vegetable market to buy camellia oleifera, which tastes bitter and tastes a little bad at first. But watching the master stir in an old wooden barrel is full of enthusiasm. Sitting on a low wooden stool and drinking is very lively and rustic. It can be seen as looking for the past, and it can also play a role in driving away the cold.

After settling down, you can rent a bicycle at Xijiekou, and two people can rent a battery car (if girls are not physically strong, it is recommended to rent a battery car, but they must ensure their driving skills). Then ask for directions or navigate to Shili Gallery and come back around Yulong River. There are many cycling routes in Yangshuo on the Internet, and this one is quite classic.

Shili gallery

There are many strange mountains with different shapes in Shili Gallery. There are also many scenic spots, such as Flower Sea, butterfly spring, Totem Ancient Road (Lishui Gu Yue), Big Banyan Tree, Jinshuiyan, Julongtan and Moon Mountain.

These scenic spots are charged, so it's much more cost-effective to bring a student ID card (Jinshuiyan includes cave viewing, hot spring bathing and mud bath to 35 yuan, which is cheaper than going to the swimming pool in Guangzhou). Personally, I suggest going to the big banyan tree, Jinshuiyan, Julongtan (I have never been there) and Moon Mountain.

Because the others are not natural scenery, there are more humanities. However, people who like humanities can also go and have a look. Although there are no butterflies in butterfly spring, there is a stage play in it. Totem Road, Lishui Gu Yue is also mainly a stage play, and the flower sea is also artificially produced.

Big banyan tree: The big banyan tree can be taken away by the yellow cattle by the roadside. You don't have to enter through the main entrance. You can cross the river by bamboo raft. Admission is 20 yuan per person.

I went to the big banyan tree twice and begged the boatman to row it for us. The first is to experience boating, and the second is to take some nice photos. If the friends are interested, they must take the initiative to tell the boatman, otherwise it will only take five minutes to cross the river by boat.

According to legend, the big banyan tree is the place where Niu Ge and Sister Liu threw hydrangeas and fell in love for life. Although it seems that the leaves are a little sparse and the trunk is a little less, it is a thousand-year-old tree and a symbol of Yangshuo. The tour guide said, walk around the tree and live for 99 years.

Jinshuiyan: The karst caves in Guilin are very famous. Yangshuo has two better caves, Jinshuiyan and Yinziyan. Because it's near, by the way, we choose Jinshui Rock. Jinshuiyan has many grotesque stalactites, as well as hot springs and mud baths.

Visiting the cave is guided by a guide, so you must follow the guide closely. We like taking pictures so much that we lost two tour guides, missed many wonderful explanations and missed many scenic spots mentioned in advertisements.

You can buy swimsuits at the entrance of the scenic spot when you come in, and you can soak in hot springs after you go in. Personally, I think the student tickets are worth the money, so I can only go to 35 yuan, but it includes enjoying caves and soaking in hot springs. If I am not afraid of being dirty, I can also go there to experience mud bath.

Moon Mountain: It is the last attraction of Shili Gallery. During climbing, you can see the moon, new moon, half moon and full moon in different states. When you climb up, you can also overlook many strange mountains and enjoy the distant scenery.

Yulong he bicycles

The entrance of riding Yulong River is near a bridge in Shili Gallery, near the big banyan tree, and there is a small intersection to enter. If you can't leave, you can ask others. Personally, I think Yulong River is really beautiful and should not be missed.

Yulong River should walk by the water. Look at those small dams, docks and some groundwater levels. There are also large rape blossoms in the fields near Yulong River, which girls should like very much.

This part can also be divided into two days, fearing that there will be too many scenic spots to see, and it will be very tiring to ride down in one day. The first day is Shili Gallery, and the second day is Yulong River. You can also ride the Yulong River far back, go to the old county, and go to the upstream Yulong Bridge (very old-fashioned). There are several cycling routes in Yangshuo, which can be found online.

When you come back at night, you can go to West Street and experience the bar. You can also go to see Impression of Third Sister Liu, a large-scale water stage play, with tickets 100. After returning to the inn, try to rest early, make an appointment with a group of people in advance, and watch the sunrise early tomorrow morning.

Sunrise in the TV tower

Get up early, dawn is faster in summer, and you have to leave at 5: 30, for fear of missing the sunrise. TV Tower Mountain is near the big vegetable market, about 1Km away from West Street. Baidu has a complete road map. It takes about half an hour to climb the mountain, and the visit fee is 10 yuan (sometimes five yuan).

An idyllic land

After watching sunrise, you can go to Xanadu. Xanadu is 10Km away from the county seat, on the way to the city. I don't like joining a group, so I rent my own electric car every time.

You can experience crossing the water cave by boat, which is similar to the design of discovering the Peach Blossom Garden. There are also activities such as throwing hydrangeas, singing folk songs around the fire, visiting some antique buildings, and taking the wind and rain bridge.

the third day

Xingping

OK: From the county seat to Xingping Ancient Town, take a bus at South Bus Station, which takes 40 minutes by car. It is recommended to bring your own luggage and stay in Xingping Ancient Town at night.

Living in Xingping ancient town, because many domestic tour groups or tourists still choose to live in the county town at night. However, foreigners rarely join a group because of language problems. They usually live in Xingping, so there are many foreigners in the youth travel agency there. If you want to feel the international atmosphere or watch the complete sunset in Laozhai Mountain, try to live in Xingping. Xingping is only five kilometers away from high-speed railway station, and it is convenient to leave.

Ancient Town: Maybe you will like ancient towns very much. They are small, desolate and quiet. However, it is recommended not to stay too long, for fear that there is not enough time to stroll on the Lijiang River. Why don't you come back at night and see the ancient town?

Background of 20 yuan: Many people come to Xingping for this scenic spot and to create a new 20 yuan.

Hiking Jiuma Painting Mountain: After seeing 20 yuan Scenic Area, you can take a bamboo raft to Jiuma Painting Mountain. You don't have to sit, it's only five kilometers to walk back and forth. We didn't take a bamboo raft at that time, and there were many interesting things on the road. You can see idle bamboo rafts on the road by yourself, and carry them down the river to play, only for the brave. You can also have a barbecue on the edge of the Lijiang River, which is quite emotional.

Sunset in Laozhai Mountain: When you come back, you must climb Laozhai Mountain to watch the sunset. Looking at the sunset over the river, surrounded by the Lijiang River, overlooking hundreds of peaks, it is very spectacular. If you are afraid of heights, it is recommended not to go. The road up the mountain is quite steep, and the cliff is only a few meters away from the scenery.

If time is tight, you can take the high-speed train directly from Xingping.

? The fourth day

Route: General inns have chartered buses to high-speed railway station, from Xingping Ancient Town to high-speed railway station, five kilometers, Yangshuo to Guilin and high-speed rail tickets to 20 yuan.

Live: In the urban area, you can live near the railway station with convenient transportation. You can also live near Dongxi Lane, which is convenient and fun.

In the urban area, you can mainly visit the pedestrian street, go to the east-west lane, visit the two rivers and four lakes, and see the Sun, Moon and Twin Towers.

There are many snacks: snail powder, authentic Guilin rice noodles, horseshoe cakes, and many special foods. Suggest going to the supermarket to buy it. The price is much cheaper, but the quality is the same as that of the specialty store, because the origin is the same.

Ivory mountain: The symbol of Guilin. It is not recommended to go in. Look outside.

At night, you can sit alone on the top floor of the double-decker bus, watch the traffic outside the window and feel the city of Guilin quietly from beginning to end.

The night view of the city is very beautiful, with iron trees and silver flowers along the river, lights on the Lijiang River and the twin towers of the sun and the moon.

If you have more time, there are many things worth experiencing in Guilin, such as cycling, rock climbing, swimming in Yulong River, visiting caves, exploring secret caves, barbecuing by the river and hiking along Lijiang River.

Also, you can go to the old shop near the vegetable market to drink oil tea and go to the snack street to eat. You can also find a quiet and sunny place, order a cup of coffee and sit there reading all day.

You can also chat with tourists from all directions and listen to stories in the inn. Go to the drum shop to learn to play drums and listen to the echo of life. Go to the postcard shop and find one that suits you. Go to Jiang Yan Road or Qing Bar to feel the folk songs sung by singers, release the hormones of youth in crazy bars, or have a drink with your traveling companions in pubs all night.

Or sit on Qingshi Street and take photos, smile and enjoy the sunshine that belongs to you. Or by the Lijiang River, put your feet into the water and feel the coolness of the water. You can also jump into the water to play and take some naughty photos. Get up early and wait for the sunrise at the top of the mountain. Stay willfully until dark and enjoy the complete sunset. Climb to the roof of the inn and look up at the stars. If you can, bring a tent and spend the night with the mountain.
