The rulers of the Qing Dynasty regarded the Northeast as their birthplace. Therefore, after the Qing Dynasty entered the customs, they consolidated the rear base areas and prevented them from being occupied and developed by the Han people in order to protect the Qing Dynasty rulers’ exclusive rights and interests in the Northeast’s specialties. From the 9th to the 20th year of Kangxi’s reign, In 1670-1681, a wicker border (commonly known as a border wall) was built in Jilin Province to prevent Han and Mongolians from entering.
