Refund standard for tour group withdrawal

Legal analysis: tourists have the right to terminate the contract at will. The refund standard for withdrawing from the group is:

1. If the tourist proposes to terminate the contract more than 7 days before the start of the trip, the travel agency shall refund all the travel expenses to the tourist;

2. If the tourist proposes to terminate the contract within 7 days before the start of the trip, the necessary expenses shall be deducted according to the following standards:

(1) 6 to 4 days before the start of the trip, deduct 20% of the total travel expenses;

(2) From 3 days before the start of the trip to 1 day, deduct 40% of the total travel expenses;

(3) On the day of travel, 60% of the total travel expenses will be deducted.

Legal basis: Article 67 of the Tourism Law of the People's Republic of China. If the contract can't be continued due to the unavoidable events that the travel agency and the assistant have paid reasonable attention to, both the travel agency and the tourists can cancel the contract. If the contract is terminated, the package travel agency shall refund the balance to the tourists after deducting the non-refundable fees paid to the land agency or the performance assistant.
