4. Travel guide of Beihai Park
Regarding the parking problem in Beihai Park,
There is indeed a parking lot at the south gate of Beihai, but the holiday will soon be full. You can park in the national library on the west side of the bridge. Parking at the north gate can be like Liu Yin Street in the north and Hutong at the entrance of No.4 Middle School.
Beihai Park is located in the central area of Beijing, with Jingshan in the east, Zhongnanhai in the south and Shichahai in the north. It belongs to the ancient royal gardens in China. With Beihai as the center, the park covers an area of 682,000 square meters (including 389,000 square meters of water and 293,000 square meters of land). Founded in Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, it was changed to a court in Ming and Qing Dynasties. 1925 opens. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit and a national AAAA tourist scenic spot.
5. Recommended scenic spots in Beihai Park.
You can go to Beihai Park without cycling.
Beihai Park is not a big park in Beijing. You can visit Beihai Park through two routes: south entrance and north exit or north entrance and south exit. I recommend going in and out south, and then crossing a flat street to visit Shichahai.
Beihai Park has several must-see attractions:
1. Kowloon wall near the north gate: This is the only double-sided wall among the three existing Kowloon walls in China. The color of the glass is still gorgeous after a hundred years, and the dragon carver is really ingenious and lifelike. It is said that in addition to the 18 dragons on the main surface, hundreds of dragons were carved on the side ridges and main ridges of the double-sided walls, and a total of 635 dragons swam on these nine dragon walls! It is indeed a tribute to ancient craftsmen.
2. Iron Shadow Wall: It is very small, not far from Jiulong Wall, and it is one of the two Yuan Dynasty sites in Beihai.
3. North Sea Cruise: Duck boats and pedal boats can be experienced by the hour; Or you can take a ferry from the north shore to Qionghua Island in the south and climb the White Pagoda overlooking the North Sea.
4. Beihai White Pagoda: Actually, it is not recommended to take photos of the White Pagoda at close range. You can catch this beautiful white tower anywhere on the north coast or the east coast. Don't walk all the way. It's especially nice to take a reflection at the edge of the arch bridge leading to Qionghua Island at sunset. This White Pagoda is a Lama Pagoda built during Shunzhi period of Qing Dynasty.
5. Anji Shishi: The faces of two lions are facing Anji. Why don't they face outward? There are also many stories to listen to. Behind the lion is Yong 'an Bridge, which connects Qionghua Island and Tuancheng.
During the epidemic, you need to make an appointment online in advance, and don't buy tickets on the spot.
6. Must-see attractions in Beihai Park.
0 1 Bailong Pearl City is located in Bailong Village, Yingpan Town. It is said that there was a white dragon hovering here in ancient times, so it was named Bailong City. Because Bailong City is near the sea, it is rich in high-quality and colorful pearls. Even the inside and outside of the ancient city wall are made of refractory bricks, and each layer of loess in the middle is sandwiched with a layer of pearl shells, which is dense and firm.
Guantouling National Forest Park is named after its undulating hillside, which looks like a crown. Seen from a distance, Guantouling lies on the sea like a dragon, which is very magnificent. Here, the forest is dense, covered with green shade, evergreen all year round and the climate is warm. Historically, it was a natural barrier for people along the Beibu Gulf to resist Japanese imperialist aggression.
Xingdao Lake is an inland lake tourist resort built by Hongchaohe Reservoir.
Golden Bay Mangrove is a golden attraction in China, which is connected with the Silver Beach in Beihai, and is called the first beach in the world. There are more than 2000 acres of mangroves in the scenic area. Hundreds of birds, insects, shellfish, fish and shrimp live in the Red Forest, which is also a rare marine biodiversity reserve in China.
Beihai Underwater World is among the best in China in terms of exhibition mode and scale. This is the first time that China introduced the regional fish pond concept of Japanese Bajingdao Aquarium into China Underwater World. There are many precious marine life in it, and even a few fierce sharks.
Qiaogang Style Street is a famous food street in Beihai. Every night, all kinds of seafood stalls are full and lively. Because it is also the residence of Vietnamese expatriates, you can also taste all kinds of delicious and cheap Vietnamese dishes.
Window of the Ocean is a large aquarium, including the 16th National Congress theme, You Gang, Dream Ocean and Coral Sea. Just visited the fluorescent hand-painted murals. The whole mural depicts the formation, development and future of the ocean, which is very wonderful. Coral Sea is a large coral showcase with all kinds of corals, which is very beautiful.
Beihai Old Street, located at Zhuhai Road and Zhongshan Road in Beihai City, is a street with a history of hundreds of years. Built in 1883, it is 1.44 km long and 9 meters wide. The former sites of British, French and German consulates and ancient shops are all over the streets. From these buildings, it seems that we can see the former prosperity of Beihai.
The volcanic rocks on Weizhou Island are a wonderful sight, and the sunset and sunrise dripping on the rainbow beach are also beautiful. Weizhou Island is also a good place to dive and catch seafood. After diving, you can eat delicious and cheap seafood on the spot, which will be a great experience.
10 Silver Beach is located on the seashore in the south of Beihai. The sand in Yintan is very special, all silvery white, and the texture of the sand is also very delicate. Even walking on the beach will not leave footprints.

9. One-day tour of Beihai Park
Beihai Park is in Pingnan 'an Street, and everyone else is safe, and the focus of Beihai Park is on the south side, so it is suggested to go to Beihai first, enter from the south gate of Beihai Park, exit from the north gate, and Shichahai is across the road.
Other attractions: Gongwangfu, Shichahai, Yandao Xie Jie, Bell and Drum Tower, Nanluoguxiang. I suggest we start from Gongwangfu Garden in the west, and then go to Shichahai, Yandao Xie Jie and Nanluoguxiang. Then, go north along Nanluoguxiang to the end, and then look west at the Bell and Drum Tower.
If it is a one-day tour, you can consider taking Beihai Park as the main place in the morning, crossing the road from the north gate of Beihai Park at noon and having lunch near Gongwangfu in the north. If you have enough time, you can also go to the barbecue season in the northeast corner of Shichahai to taste authentic Beijing roasted meat.
