Entering the Brunei Pavilion, various royal ritual vessels and precious collections from the Brunei Museum are dazzling and become the focus of visitors' attention. At this Shanghai World Expo, Brunei focuses on culture. Brunei’s famous wood carving artist Saboli and Badik painter Mr. Zainal will be there every morning. The live performance of traditional handicraft production in the Brunei pavilion always attracts many tourists.

While inheriting the art of wood carving, Mr. Saboli also integrated the protection of other traditional cultures into his creations. At the performance site, he picked up a small wooden dagger and introduced: "This dagger called 'Gris' used to be a weapon used by warriors in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and other places. I am worried that if it is not used by other If the form is preserved, it will be lost, and the younger generation will not know what a 'gris' is. I tried to make this dagger out of wood to make it less dangerous and easier to preserve when someone sees it. When my woodcarver asks what it is, I can tell him that it is a 'gris', a weapon used by warriors in ancient times. This way it will not be lost with the passage of time."

Like Mr. Saboli, the Batik painter Mr. Zainal is also working hard to inherit and promote Batik art in his own way. Mr. Zainal believes that traditional craftsmen should have a positive attitude towards the progress of science and technology and use the progress of science and technology to further promote batik art. Sitting in front of a computer monitor displaying exquisite Batik patterns, Mr. Zainal said: "We should accept modern technology, make good use of it, and use scientific and technological means to promote the further development of Batik art. Mr. Abdul Rani, Catering Director of the Royal Brunei Catering Company, said that halal food is not only suitable for Muslims, and other people should also try it: "The special delicacies we brought from Brunei include Brunei nasi lemak, traditional herbal coffee, Lover's bread, and of course teh tarik. The most popular among tourists is nasi lemak. We really didn't expect that tourists in Shanghai like our nasi lemak so much. Not only Muslims, many other tourists came to ask us what coconut lemak is. As a food provider, we are very touched. We also hope to open a restaurant specializing in Brunei cuisine in Shanghai in the future."

China and Brunei are about to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
