219 Tour of Five Countries in Antarctica and South America (IV) Argentina

When we came back from the Antarctic, we began to play five countries in South America! Because it's not easy to fly from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemisphere at the thought of flying so far anyway. Let's play together. So we designed tours to five South American countries: Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Chile. Other countries have entered and exited once normally, only Argentina, and we have entered and exited three times. Why?

because it was February 14-15, in order to go to the South Pole. Boarding from ushuaia. Then the first stop will be Buenos Aires, Argentina.

On February 14th, Valentine's Day, we spent the holiday in this way: after nearly 3 hours' flight (connecting flight in Dallas, USA), we arrived in Buenos Aires, the farthest country and capital from China! And then walked away for nearly seven hours! I didn't want to walk for such a long time, but I wanted to go out for dinner at noon and then go back to the hotel to rest. However, we can't stand the fact that the weather here is neither too hot nor too cold for more than 2 degrees, and all kinds of punch-in attractions are not far from where we live. While walking, we were tempted by the kitchen window of the store, and we unconsciously punched in the key attractions: the obelisk of Buenos Aires landmark building, the Cologne Theatre of Athens Bookstore (converted from the theater), and finally bought tickets for tomorrow's tango performance, and then returned to the hotel after dark. We all admire ourselves for achieving zero time difference!

On February 15th, the three of us went on a free trip and visited three important punch-in spots in Bushi: the interior of Cologne Grand Theatre, Recolletta Cemetery and Tortoni Cafe

The Cologne Grand Theatre was built in 1889, designed by the famous architect Francisco Tabrini and completed in 198. I feel that Cologne Grand Theatre is beautiful and grand, and its architecture has Renaissance French and Italian styles. We need to buy tickets for the internal tour here and have a professional tour guide in the theater to explain it. We followed an English group to have a tour inside.

there is a performance on every day.

Today, I also came to the noble cemetery. Another name is Recoleta Cemetery, which is the most famous scenic spot in this area and the largest scenic spot in Buenos Aires. Recoleta National Cemetery is the resting place of the rich and historical celebrities in Argentina, where about 7, elites of Argentine society rest. The tombs in the cemetery are all designed, laid out and decorated by their aristocratic owners, with different sizes and styles. Mausoleums are like miniature palaces, quiet and awe-inspiring. The small ones cover only a few square meters, while the luxurious ones cover more than 2 square meters. Most of the tombs are equipped with exquisite marble or bronze sculptures. Many noble families in Argentina will buy tombs here. Today, 23 Argentine presidents and vice presidents have rested here. The famous Mr. and Mrs. Peron are also buried here. Mrs. Peron was only 33 years old!

I'm tired after a day's walk. I came to Café Tortoni after 5 pm to have a rest and punch in the century-old cafe. It is the oldest coffee shop in Buenos Aires. It was founded in 1858 because of its long history and elegant style! Worthy of being a century-old shop!

The most famous cafe in Putong is Tortoni, which was built in 1858 on May Avenue and has a history of nearly 2 years. There is a queue for drinking coffee here.

Gadar, the king of tango music, is also a frequent visitor to Tortoni. His work "Por Una Cabeza" has been used in many films such as "Scent of a Woman". Apart from his talent, Gadar is also known for his beauty, and he is a famous handsome man with a pair of eyes and a handsome Greek nose. It is said that when he was drinking coffee in a cafe, fans gathered outside the window, hoping to see the truth. Now, these characters Hwa-Sung Do painted portraits or reliefs on the walls and smiled at the people in the hall. The beauty of that era, condensed in cups of coffee, is still appreciated by the modern human body. The three of us are sitting here enjoying the amorous feelings of that year ...

Then on February 15th, the three of us spent an unforgettable night! Because this day is the birthday of our good friend Guo Jie, specially invited us to watch the authentic Argentine tango show, which is extremely happy!

Second visit to Argentina: February 27th-28th. Returning from the South Pole. Return to Buenos Aires from ushuaia. After a rest, I flew directly to Bolivia the next day.

We can't waste our time in Busi just for one visit. Quickly find the number one steakhouse on the Internet. Sure enough, it was overcrowded. After waiting for almost two hours, I finally enjoyed the authentic Argentine red wine+steak, and the taste really deserved its reputation!

Enjoy the Argentine Grand jiaozi for free while waiting!

Third visit to Argentina: Nearly half a month later, I went to Iguazu, Argentina, on March 12th to visit Iguazu Waterfall (Argentina section). This time, we really started to visit the important scenic spots in Argentina with the group.

Iguazu Falls spans two countries: Brazil and Argentina. When we were in Brazil, we visited the Brazilian section of the waterfall (see "Brazil"). In the morning, we took a bus to transit to the port of Iguazu, Argentina, and visited the "Argentine Falls National Park". We must first take a small train to the middle station, and then transfer to another small train to Devil's Throat Station. From the station, walk along the trestle bridge for 11 meters to reach the center of the waterfall, where the water flow is the largest and fiercest, and it is called "Devil's Throat".

The devil's throat really lives up to its reputation, and the momentum of swallowing mountains and rivers is shocking. The camera can never record people's feelings, only when you are there.

Iguazu Waterfall is unique in that there are many viewing spots. From different places, different directions and different heights, we see different scenes. The top of the canyon is the center of the waterfall, with the largest and fiercest water flow, which is called "devil's throat". Iguazu Falls are distributed on both sides of the canyon, which is bounded by Argentina and Brazil, and the waterfalls seen in Argentina and Brazil are completely different. What I feel is that Brazil is more beautiful and Argentina is more spectacular. We all saw and felt it this time, without regret!

Iguazu big bleaching cloth in the rain is magnificent!

fly from iguazu to Buenos Aires on March 12th.

I flew from Buenos Aires, the capital, to Calafat in the early morning of March 13th to see the Great Glacier National Park. This is how we traveled by plane every day when we were in South America. ?

Calafat Town: Calafat is a town near the southernmost Argentine, which is famous for the Moreno Glacier. It is found that the typical small towns in southern Argentina, Calafat and ushuaia, are pocket-sized but wonderful. At the end of the world, the small towns are independent but have their own prosperity, which is completely different from the imagined desolation. The back garden of Calafat-Glacier still shows natural beauty.

Although this town has only 2, people, it has the largest fresh water reserve in the world-Lake Argentina.

The town is very unusual. Although there are not many people, there are two presidents. The current president, Kerry Cristina Fernandez Kirchner, is the first female president of Argentina. Her husband Nestor Kirchner is a former president.

We took a leisurely stroll around this quiet and elegant town in the afternoon, and felt very comfortable. The town is full of various star-rated hotels, cafes and handicraft shops ...

The view of staying in the wooden house hotel in the town at night is also very pleasant.

March 14th to visit the Great Glacier. The glacier is only 3 kilometers away from the town. After breakfast, visit Moreno Glacier National Park. We choose two ways to visit the glacier, first by boat and then on foot, that is, walking along the plank road. We find the latter is the best choice and highly recommend it!

The park consists of 47 glaciers, the most famous of which is the PERITO MORENO Glacier, which covers an area of 257 square kilometers. It is one of the three largest glaciers in the world and one of the few glaciers that are still growing, and its scenery is extremely spectacular. Standing on the specially built viewing platform, you can see how glaciers "pour down" from the top of the snowy mountain.

The front of the glacier is as straight as a razor, and there are numerous cracks at the top. After being transmitted and refracted by sunlight, the glacier presents colorful colors. From time to time, there is a low rumbling sound from the glacier, which is the sound of glacier cracking. Pure blue is what appears after the latest ice crack!

The Great Glacier was listed in the United Nations World Natural Heritage in 1981. The great ice collapse of Moreno Glacier in March this year has attracted the attention of all countries in the world. Glacier National Park is a strange and beautiful natural scenic spot. There are rugged and towering mountains and many ice lakes, including the 1-mile-long Lake Argentina. At the junction of three glaciers at the far end of the lake, milky gray ice water poured down, and huge flowing ice like a small dome rushed into the lake with a thunderous bang. I stood in front of the big glacier and sighed with wonder at the wonders of nature, listening to the thunder of the ice crack devoutly … shocking!

On the morning of March 14th, I flew from Calafat to ushuaia to visit Tierra del Fuego (the flight time was nearly one and a half hours)

After a whole month, the three of us returned to ushuaia town again, and the feeling of revisiting the old place was particularly emotional! So I took a photo twice on the same brand in ushuaia, which is so kind!

This time, we visited ushuaia, the southernmost town in the world. It is located at the southernmost tip of the South American continent, a small town on Tierra del Fuego between strait of magellan and Cape Horn, and is called "the end of the world".

I ate the best roast lamb chops here!

enjoy the polar scenery in the Biegel Canal by boat on the morning of March 15th, which is highly recommended! Hiking in Tierra del Fuego National Park in the afternoon

We anchored from the local port, took a modern catamaran and sailed in ushuaia Bay, where we could see the southernmost city in the world from the sea. Behind the city are Mount Olivia and Mount Martiyar, then Mount Five Brothers, Escarpado and the mouth of Olivia, and all the way to the LESECLEIREURS lighthouse in the archipelago, which is the southernmost lighthouse in the world and a silent witness to the sinking of Mount Cervantes in 193!

On the way back to ushuaia, you can visit Bird Island and Bridge Islands, until the place called Little Strait, and then re-enter ushuaia Bay.

This is the southernmost post office in the world ~ Xiaotingzi Post Office. We also sent a postcard here. Fortunately, the post office not only opened today, but also caught up with the founder, Grandpa online celebrity, and took photos with the tourists happily at the door!

this is the end of the world highway, which is one from Alaska.
