Alipay can be used on subways and buses, and it is also convenient for bicycles and mopeds. Must-bring items
Hat, sunscreen, and umbrella. You must wear sunscreen, otherwise you will be darkened when you come back from traveling. Hats can provide sun protection and concave shape; if you forget to bring one, you can buy one locally. It is not only practical, but can also be used as a photo prop.
In addition, the weather in Hangzhou is changeable, so be sure to check the weather forecast when going out. Accommodation recommendations
In the past, when I traveled, I always found a place to stay when I arrived at the local area. It was usually already evening, and it was really uncomfortable to drag my luggage and rush around the streets looking for accommodation. It's often overcrowded during holidays, so you can just find a small hotel to make do. Having learned from previous lessons, this time I booked a B&B in advance. It was a B&B booked on Zhuduoduo.com.
Many attractions in Hangzhou are surrounding the West Lake. For convenience, it is best to live near the West Lake. The B&B I booked is located on Xihu Avenue in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou. You can walk to the West Lake and the transportation is very convenient.
The room is very clean and bright, with a large space. It is a two-story duplex structure, which is very unique and can accommodate 4 people. On average, the room rate per person is less than 100 yuan, which I think is still a good deal.
The bedroom is on the second floor, separated from the quiet. Even when traveling, you must ensure a good sleep. If you want to book this B&B, just search Yi on Zhuduoduo. Itinerary
Day 1: Broken Bridge and Remaining Snow (20 minutes) → Baidi (20 minutes) → Gushan (2 hours) → Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area - Quyuan Fenghe (1 hour) → Suzhou Di Chunxiao (30 minutes) →
Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area-Huagang Fish Viewing (1 hour)
A must-see in Hangzhou is the West Lake. Yu Qiuyu once said in a book that even if the West Lake This is my first time visiting, and it also feels like reliving old dreams. After immersing myself in Chinese culture for a long time, I will always have this lake in my heart. "There are thirty-six West Lakes in the world, and Hangzhou is the best among them." West Lake has been the soul of Hangzhou since ancient times.
The most famous of the ten legendary sights of West Lake are the spring dawn on the Su Causeway in the Southern Song Dynasty, the remaining snow on the broken bridge, the wind lotuses in Quyuan, the fish watching in Huagang, the singing of orioles in the willow waves, the sunset on Leifeng, the moon reflected in the three pools, the autumn moon on the flat lake, and the twin peaks. It is famous for its cloud-inserting and evening bells in Nanping.
It will take two or three days to visit all the ten scenic spots in West Lake. You can choose a few that you like more. It is quite far to go around the West Lake, so you can rent a bicycle to travel around.
Remaining snow on the broken bridge (20 minutes)
When the winter snow first falls, the ice and snow on the sunny side of the bridge melt away, but the shady side is still covered by residual snow. From a height, the bridge looks broken but not broken, forming a The famous "Broken Bridge and Remaining Snow", but this season there is no way to see the beautiful scenery of the Broken Bridge and Remaining Snow.
But the beauty of the broken bridge does not lie in the season. West Lake is the place where Xu Xian and White Snake met, and it also adds a lot of romance to this long bridge.
Baidi (20 minutes)
Originally known as Baisha Embankment, one end is connected to the broken bridge, the other end is connected to Pinghu Qiuyue and Gushan, and there is a flat asphalt road in the middle. Bai Juyi's famous saying "My favorite lake is not enough eastward, the white sand embankment in the shade of green poplars" refers to this place. There are neatly planted willows and peach trees on both sides of the road. When you look up, you can see the beautiful scenery of the West Lake, which is very suitable for a leisurely stroll. Baidi is about 1 kilometer in total, so you can explore it on foot.
When I went there, there were willows and peach blossoms in bloom. I thought this was the most beautiful season in Baidi. If possible, you can choose to stagger the peak crowds and go in the morning and evening.
Gushan (2 hours)
Gushan is a natural island in the north of West Lake. It is not big and has many historical sites, including sculptures, museums and memorials. It can be called the cultural landscape of West Lake. The most concentrated place, on the island you can not only feel the profound cultural heritage, but also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the West Lake. Almost every day, new people take wedding photos here.
Gushan is a small peninsula with a mountain height of no more than 35 meters. Walking on the mountain trails gives you the feeling of a forest. The existing scenic spots include He Pavilion, Lin Hejing Tomb, Agate Slope, Yiyi Spring, Wenlan Pavilion, Zhongshan Park, Jingyi Academy, Qiu Jin Tomb, Liuyi Spring, Banbi Pavilion, Su Manshu Tomb, etc.

During the Southern Song Dynasty, there was a brewing workshop here that used stream water to make Qujiu. Whenever the wind blew in summer, the fragrance of the wine was refreshing, so it was called "Quyuan Fenghe".
There are fields of lotus leaves and enchanting lotuses. Small bridges of different shapes are erected on the water. People crossing the bridge feel like walking in the lotus. The so-called lotus leaves touching the sky are infinitely green, and the lotus flowers reflecting the sun are exceptionally red. This is what I am talking about.

Spring Dawn on Su Causeway is one of the ten scenic spots in West Lake. In the Southern Song Dynasty, the spring dawn on the Su Causeway was listed as the first of the ten scenic spots in the West Lake. In the Yuan Dynasty, it was also called "Six Bridges of Smoked Willows" and included in the ten scenic spots of Qiantang. The "Spring Dawn on the Su Causeway" refers to the spring on the Su Causeway after the cold winter. Wonderful view.
Su Causeway starts from the foothills of Nanping Mountain in the south and ends at the foot of Qixialing Mountain in the north, with a total length of nearly three kilometers. It was constructed by dredging the West Lake and using the excavated mud from the West Lake when Su Dongpo, the great poet of the Northern Song Dynasty, was the governor of Hangzhou. Later generations named her Su Causeway in memory of Su Dongpo's achievements in managing the West Lake. The long embankment lies on the waves, connecting the southern and northern mountains, adding a charming scenery to the West Lake.
Wander the Su Causeway, visit the scenery, have close contact with the poet, and experience the story of Su Dongpo. In an instant, I felt like I had traveled through time and touched the traces of history.

West Lake Huagang Fish Viewing is located to the west of the southern section of Sudi, on a peninsula between Xili Lake and Xiaonan Lake superior. At that time, the chamberlain Lu Yunsheng built a villa on the side of Huagang, called "Lu Garden". In the garden, rocks were piled up to form mountains, and the ground was dug into the ground to form ponds, where fish of different colors were raised. Visitors gathered here and scholars chanted them, calling it "Watching Fish in Huagang" and it became one of the ten scenic spots in the West Lake. In the 38th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1699), Emperor Xuanye visited the West Lake. As usual, he wrote about the fish sights in Huagang and built a stone monument beside the fish pond. Later, when Qianlong went to the south of the Yangtze River to visit the West Lake, another poem was inscribed on the shadow of the stele. There is a sentence in the poem that goes: "Flowing Huagang at the foot of Huajia Mountain, there are fish bodies and fish sucking flowers."
