Recommended route for two-day tour of Zhengzhou Mid-Autumn Festival: Zhengzhou--Shaolin Temple--Yuntai Mountain--Zhengzhou
Day 1: Zhengzhou--Shaolin Temple--Zhengzhou
< p>Transportation route:(1) Take the tourist bus bound for Dengfeng at the long-distance bus station opposite Zhengzhou Railway Station.
(2) There are shuttle buses to Dengfeng from all long-distance bus stations in Zhengzhou.
Luoyang: Luoyang is closer to Shaolin Temple and can be reached in less than 2 hours. There are tourist buses directly to Shaolin Temple from the east side of Luoyang Railway Station at 6:00 and 7:00 every morning. All long-distance buses from Luoyang to Dengfeng pass through the Shaolin crossing, and it is only 2 kilometers away from here to the Shaolin Temple.
(1) Take the tourist bus, (2) Take the shuttle bus from Luoyang to Zhengzhou (non-highway) and get off at Shaolin Temple (or Dengfeng), (3) Parking by car is convenient, the parking lot has up and down Three floors.
Take the bus from Zhengzhou Long-distance Bus Station to Dengfeng. The journey takes about 2 hours and the expressway takes about 1 hour. After getting off the bus, transfer to the minibus and you will arrive in less than half an hour. There is also a direct tourist bus in front of the train station. There are few buses. The driving time depends on the number of people. It takes about 1 hour. Take a bus from Luoyang Long-distance Bus Station to Dengfeng, and you will arrive at the Shaolin Temple crossing in about 90 minutes.
Shaolin Temple tickets: The ticket price of Songshan Shaolin Temple is 80 yuan, and the reservation price is 70 yuan. The combined tickets include: If you buy the ticket for Shaolin Temple Scenic Area and Zhongyue Scenic Area together, it is 180 yuan. If you make a reservation, the price will be cheaper, usually 160 yuan; if you add Songyang Scenic Area, If so, the price will be 260 yuan, and the reservation will be even cheaper, with a price of 220 yuan. If you buy a combined ticket, the price will be cheaper, so it is more economical to buy a combined ticket.

Mahatma Hall
Opposite the Kinnara Hall to the west of the Mahavira Hall is the Sixth Patriarch Hall. The front of the hall is dedicated to Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, Manjushri Bodhisattva, Guanyin Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. On both sides are the first ancestor of Zen Buddhism, Bodhisattva Bodhisattva, second ancestor Huike, third ancestor Sengcan, fourth ancestor Daoxin, and fifth ancestor. Hongren and the Sixth Patriarch Huineng are known as the Sixth Patriarch and worship Guanyin. On the west wall of the Sixth Patriarch Hall is a large-scale painted sculpture "Dharma Returning to the West with Only One Footstep".
Sutra Collection Pavilion
Also known as Dharma Hall, it was built in the Ming Dynasty. It was destroyed in 1928 and rebuilt in 1994. It is a place where monks store scriptures and preach. It houses a white marble reclining Buddha statue presented by a Burmese disciple of Shaolin Temple in 1996. There is a large iron pot under the platform of the Sutra Pavilion. It was cast in the Wanli year of the Ming Dynasty. It was a small pot used by the Shaolin Temple monks at that time for cooking.
The abbot's room
is the place where the abbot lives and manages affairs in the temple. On September 30, the fifteenth year of Qianlong's reign (AD 1750), Emperor Gaozonghong of the Qing Dynasty used the abbot's room as his palace when he visited Shaolin Temple, so it was also called "Dragon Court". The room was first built around the early Ming Dynasty. It has been repaired over the years and the existing building is a relic of the Qing Dynasty. In the center of this room is a chicken-blood stone relief "Buddha Lectures" presented by believers in 1995 when the Shaolin Temple celebrated its 1500th anniversary. On the inside of the north wall is a genealogy of Shaolin Temple passed down from generation to generation.
Dharma Cave
The place facing the wall is called Bodhidharma Cave. Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism, meditated on the wall of this cave for nine years from 527 to 536 AD. Bodhidharma Cave faces the southwest. The entrance of the cave is built with an arch made of bluestones. The cave is about seven meters deep and more than three meters high and wide. There are three stone statues on the platform inside the cave. In the middle is a seated statue of Bodhidharma, with his disciples on both sides. According to records in "Shuo Song" of the Qing Dynasty, there was a small stone pagoda on the upper left side of the cave, but the pagoda has long been destroyed. There are four words "original face" inscribed on the east wall of the cave. On the stone wall to the west of the cave, Su Minwang, a native of Changheng County in the Ming Dynasty, inscribed a Qijue poem: "Who can be poor when you come to the West to be careless? It takes nine years for the five-ruf peak to work. If the Tao is truly translated into the world, Bodhidharma Cave should owe it to itself Yuantong". There are also four characters "facing the wall and cave in the sky". Next to the "Facing the Wall Cave and Heaven", it penetrates from bottom to top, sinking into a deep gap with unfathomable depth. It is said that the left side of Bodhidharma Cave is the "Fire Dragon Cave". Before Bodhidharma arrived, the fire dragon lived in the cave. Since Bodhidharma entered the cave and faced the wall to practice, The fire dragon fled through this gap, so the cliff was called Dragon-raising Cliff.
Shaoshi Que
It is the Shinto Que in front of Shaoshi Mountain Temple. There are more than 60 portraits of Que body that are well preserved. The main contents include circus, hunting, Cuju, etc. Among them, the Cuju picture shows women playing football. The Three Towers of the Han Dynasty are an important architectural heritage of the Han Dynasty, with a history of more than 1870 years. It reflects the culture and architectural art of the Han Dynasty and has extremely high historical value. The inscriptions carved on the palace include seal script after the unification of the Qin Dynasty, and eight-point scripts written by Han Dynasty. The writing style is round, old and vigorous. It is a valuable material for studying the art of calligraphy in my country and the evolution of Chinese characters. The various line-engraved reliefs on the palace have exquisite patterns, vivid images, and a strong flavor of life.
