Gulangyu Island has been officially approved as a national 5A-level tourist attraction since May 8, 2007. It was selected as "the first of the five most beautiful urban areas in China" by National Geographic magazine, and was known as "the garden on the sea". Many Chinese and foreign architectural styles have been preserved on the island, which has the reputation of "World Architecture Expo". The residents of the island love music and have a high density of pianos, so they are known as Qindao. The main attractions are: Sunlight Rock, Xinzhuang Garden, Beach, Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall, etc. Millions of Chinese and foreign tourists come here for sightseeing every year. On July 8, 20 17, "Gulangyu Island: Historical International Community" was included in the World Heritage List, becoming the 52nd World Heritage Site in China.

2. Nanputuo Temple, founded in the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, was originally named Sizhouyuan. Cui Wen, a monk in the Northern Song Dynasty, was rebuilt as an endless rock. Yuan Fei. By the early years of the Republic of China, a Buddhist temple pattern with three halls and seven halls had been formed, becoming the largest famous temple in southern Fujian in modern times.

There are still three generations of stone carvings in the "Fairy Palace" on Beichen Mountain. The waterfall flowing down from the top of Beichen Mountain is nearly a thousand meters long and will not dry up for thousands of years. Because the mountain has been eroded by water for a long time, a canyon and a 12 pool distributed from top to bottom are formed, which is called Twelve Longtan. Twelve Longtan in Beishan is one of the twenty scenic spots in Xiamen.
