Wutai Mountain, located in the northeast of Wutai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, is now a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, a national key scenic spot, a national geological park, a national natural and cultural heritage, one of the top ten famous mountains in China, one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China and one of the five Buddhist holy places in the world.

Wutai Mountain is located at 38 50' ~ 39 05' north latitude and113 29' ~13 44' east longitude. It is 250 kilometers in Fiona Fang with a total area of 2,837 square kilometers. With Taihuai Town as the center, there are five peaks in the east, west, south, north and middle. Above the Yun Biao, there are no trees on the top of the mountain, such as an earthen platform, which is called Wutai. Ye Doufeng, the highest point in Beitai, is 3058 meters above sea level and is called the "Roof of North China".

Wutai Mountain is the Dojo of Manjusri Bodhisattva and the only Buddhist Dojo in China where the Green Temple and the Yellow Temple complement each other. It is also a tourist attraction integrating natural scenery, historical sites, ancient architecture art, Buddhist culture, folk customs and summer vacation. There are 47 existing monasteries, 39 in Taiwan Province and 8 outside Taiwan Province, among which many monasteries have been built and many emperors have visited them.

Wutai Mountain Scenic Area is located in Wutai County, northeast of Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, with an average elevation of 1000 meters. Ye Doufeng, the highest point in Beitai, is 3058 meters above sea level and is called the "Roof of North China". Wutai Mountain is about 300 kilometers away from Fiona Fang. Because the five peaks are like five pillars, they rise from the ground and stand tall, and the summit is as flat as a platform, hence the name Wutai.

Wutai Mountain Scenic Area is dominated by mountains, which are rocky and mountainous, with endless mountains and gullies and extremely complex terrain. The whole mountain trend is northeast-southwest and gradually decreases from northeast to southwest. Its topography can be roughly divided into mountains (about 13% of the total area) and hills (about 10% of the total area). Its highest peak is 306 1 m above sea level, and its lowest point, Shang Ping Village at the junction of Qingshui River and Hutuo River, is 624 meters above sea level, with a relative height difference of 2434 meters.
