About the travel route to Shennongjia on May Day

Shennongjia

In the northwest of Hubei Province, there is a place with intertwined mountains and rivers and continuous peaks. It is said that the ancient Shennong family once tasted all kinds of herbs here to treat people's diseases. The mountain was high and the road was dangerous, so Shennong set up a scaffolding to go up the mountain to collect herbs. Later, in order to commemorate Shennong, the people called this place "Shennongjia".

The Shennongjia Forestry Area is now a provincial unit in Hubei, with a total area of ??3,250 square kilometers, more than 85% of the forest land, and a forest coverage rate of 69.5%. It borders Xiangfan, Shiyan, Yichang and even the Wanxian area of ??Chongqing. Its mountain range extends from southwest to northeast. The main peak "Shennongding" is 3105 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in Central China. The mountains are densely forested and the valleys are deep, isolated from the world. The scenery of the prehistoric era is well preserved and the animal and plant resources are extremely rich. In 1990, UNESCO listed Shennongjia as a member of the international "Man and the Biosphere Conservation Network"; in 1995, the World Wildlife Fund designated Shennongjia as a "biodiversity conservation demonstration site".

There are more than a dozen scenic spots in the forest area such as Banbiyan, Dajiu Lake, Xiaodangyang, Xiangxiyuan, Tianmen Ya, Yanzi Ya, Songluo River, etc., as well as hot and cold caves, ice caves, and tidal water Cave and many other natural wonders. The most attractive thing about Shennongjia is the discovery of "savages". It is said that more than 200 people have seen savages in this area over the past 30 years, which adds to the mystery of Shennongjia.
