A must-have if you want to travel to Chongqing! In addition to eating hot pot, there are these most local ways to play

The daily lives of Chongqing people are full of fantasy. The light rail passes through the building, the same stilted building as Spirited Away, and the 8D viaduct looks like a magical movie. Chongqing, this city really has too many characteristics of Internet celebrities.

If we went to Chongqing a few years ago, what we knew most was the scalding hot pot. Now when I go to Chongqing, if I just have a hot pot meal, I will miss out on many wonderful places, and I will really regret it.

Chongqing would not be complete without night views, and when it comes to night views, Hongya Cave, built along the river, must not be missed. At night, Hongya Cave exudes damn charm.

The warm yellow light illuminates the entire stilted buildings, giving people a warm and shocking visual experience, even more beautiful than the scenes in Spirited Away.

In addition to seeing the night view of Hongyadong across the road, taking a cruise is also a good choice.

The Liberation Monument is a historical witness to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War and the liberation of Chongqing. It has now become a pedestrian street lined with shopping malls. The Liberation Monument is to Chongqing what Nanjing West Road is to Shanghai, and Wangfujing is to Beijing. It is one of the important landmarks in Chongqing, and it is also home to a large number of Internet celebrity gourmet restaurants~

However, When you ask Chongqing people where they like to go shopping, Jiefangbei, which is occupied by tourists, may not be their first choice. Locals prefer to go to Guanyin Bridge, which has fewer tourists~

Every city has its own snacks Street, Chongqing is no exception. Chuanchuan, hot and sour noodles, Bobo chicken, noodles, etc., you can finally find the authentic version of the delicacies you have eaten in countless snack streets.

There are two famous snack streets in Chongqing, Bayi Snack Street and Chongqing Haochi Street. The two streets are not far apart, and if you have enough time, you can visit them both. If you are short on time, it is more recommended to go to Jiefang Road Snack Street.

Bayi Road Food Street is just in a shopping mall on this street, with fewer varieties. Even though many guides recommend Bayi Snack Street, I personally think it is quite average. Whether it is the recommended rose ice powder or Bobo chicken, they all feel mediocre.

It is no exaggeration to say that the air in Chongqing smells of hot pot, making it a veritable "Hot Pot City".

The old hot pots that fill the streets have strong and thick flavors, featuring numbing, spicy, fresh and fragrant flavors, and are affordable. For Chongqing people who love spicy food, the clear soup pot bottom is an "insult" to them, and the freshly fried butter spicy pot bottom is the correct way to open hot pot.

If you must go to an internet celebrity store, I recommend the following ones:

(Queue is a must, choose carefully)

People from Chongqing don’t need to go there at all. An amusement park, a maze-like overpass, a roller coaster-like bus, and a roaring light rail passing through the building. The unique geographical conditions of the mountain city of Chongqing make ordinary bus transportation interesting. Although it takes more time, the scenery you see is more beautiful.

A teahouse where time stops. When you walk through the door, time goes back to more than 30 years ago. A long single stool, an old table with peeling paint, an ordinary tureen tea cup, an old-fashioned thermos bottle, the old objects have been scrubbed clean and have not been covered by dust by time.

Here, reality and old times intersect. People drink tea, chat and play mahjong. The employee canteen that originally belonged to Huangjueping Transportation Co., Ltd. has been revitalized.

Per capita: 14 yuan

It is a memory that Chongqing locals have almost forgotten, and it has been re-shown to the world through the filming of "Young You".

Because the corridor is long and narrow and has ventilation at both ends, it is shaped like a tube, so it is called "Tongzi Tower". The off-white mosaic walls have been eroded to gray by time, and the criss-crossing staircases and octagonal patio have a dilapidated and strangely symmetrical beauty.

Tongzilou*** has two exits. The first floor leads to the bustling and modern Nanbin Road, and the eighth floor leads to Haitangxi New Street, where the city life is. If you just want to find the scene where Yi Xiaobei appears, it is recommended to get off at Haitangxi New Street, otherwise you need to climb 8 flights of stairs to get there.

If you like graffiti, don’t miss the Graffiti Street outside Sichuan Mei. There are wonderful graffiti even on the buildings. Color is the most powerful expression, and the short distance of 100 meters is full of the creative imagination.

There is a very interesting cultural and creative shop near Sichuan Mei. The souvenirs are very cute, and the entrance is carefully decorated, which is very suitable for taking pictures. It is said that many movies and TV series are shot here.

There are many street shops near Sichuan Mei. There are no luxurious decorations. I chose Huji’s hoof flower soup, which is highly recommended. The tofu curd is delicious, but the hoof flower soup is a bit boring. One portion is enough for one person~

Although Ciqikou is still commercialized, its unique mountain city elements still make people nostalgic. There are many snacks and specialties in Ciqikou Ancient Town. We recommend Chen Mahua and Chicken Grocery Stores. The former can be used as a souvenir and the latter can be used as a meal.

It is worth mentioning that there are many shops selling hot pot base ingredients in Ciqikou Ancient Town, and the price is about 10 yuan a piece. If you can choose to buy "Qiaotou brand" hot pot base in supermarkets in urban areas, the locals like this brand of base very much~

Of course, there are more than just these things to do in Chongqing. You can also go Take the Yangtze River Cableway for a panoramic view of the scenery on both sides of the strait, go to Nanshan One Tree to see the beautiful night view of Chongqing, go to Eling Erchang’s rooftop cat cafe for half a day, and go to Fairy Mountain to see the miraculous craftsmanship of nature....

Chongqing, a small city, is filled with the smell of scalding hot pot in the mist, and its unique and wonderful scenery tantalizes the taste and vision of travelers.

This is Fog City, a city that is truly a place you don’t want to leave once you’ve arrived.
