When will Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area reopen?

The province plans to basically complete the ecological environment restoration in key areas by 2020. Strive to realize the opening of scenic spots as soon as possible on the basis of safety assessment.

On August 8, 20 17, an earthquake cast a shadow over the beautiful scenery of Jiuzhaigou. The following is the post-earthquake reconstruction plan planned by Sichuan Province after the earthquake:

By the end of 20 17, the maintenance and reinforcement of urban and rural housing and the restoration of existing functions of damaged infrastructure such as transportation (excluding scenic spots), communication, electric power and public service facilities will be completed.

Geological disaster investigation and emergency treatment were basically completed before the flood season of 20 18; Complete the reconstruction of urban and rural housing before the end of the year, and start the reconstruction of public service facilities such as schools, hospitals and culture in an all-round way.

In 20 19, the control of geological disasters in key areas was basically completed, and the reconstruction of public service facilities was fully completed.
