Estimated recovery time of outbound tourism

The State Council issued an official reply on agreeing to temporarily adjust and implement relevant administrative regulations in Tianjin, Shanghai, Hainan and Chongqing, and agreed to allow qualified foreign-invested travel agencies established in Shanghai and Chongqing to operate outbound tourism business except Taiwan Province Province from now until April 8, 2024.

The State Council issued an official reply on agreeing to temporarily adjust and implement relevant administrative regulations in Tianjin, Shanghai, Hainan and Chongqing.

According to the Reply of the State Council on Agreeing to Carry out the Comprehensive Pilot Project of Expanding and Opening up the Service Industry in Tianjin, Shanghai, Hainan and Chongqing (Guo Han [2021] No.37), the State Council agreed to temporarily adjust and implement the relevant provisions of the Travel Agency Regulations and the Provisional Regulations on the Registration Management of Private Non-enterprise Units in relevant provinces and cities from now until April 8, 2024.

The relevant departments of the State Council and the people's governments of relevant provinces and cities shall, according to the above adjustments, make corresponding adjustments to the regulations and normative documents formulated by departments and provinces and cities in a timely manner, and establish a management system that is compatible with the comprehensive pilot project of expanding and opening up the service industry.

The State Council will adjust the content of this reply in a timely manner according to the comprehensive pilot situation of expanding and opening up the service industry in relevant provinces and cities.
