Characteristics of Zhouzhuang International Tourism Festival in China

At the opening ceremony, the card of "Creative Cultural Performing Arts" was displayed. The original ecological large-scale live performance of Four Seasons Zhouzhuang is a cooperative performance project of Shanghai World Expo, and the Expo version of Four Seasons Zhouzhuang was specially rearranged for the World Expo at the opening party-"Different Water Towns? Zhouzhuang Forever will be staged for the first time. The whole performance will be divided into three chapters: Shuangqiao-the story of Shuangqiao and celebrities, Kunqu opera-the story of ancient stage and Kunqu opera, and folk custom-folk custom of water town. After re-planning, refining and concentrating, the World Expo version of Four Seasons Zhouzhuang will completely break the current live performance framework of Zhouzhuang Scenic Area every night, make full use of stage scenery and on-site modeling, break through the site restrictions of the World Expo, create the atmosphere of Zhouzhuang water town, and move the water town elements that best reflect the original ecology of the water town into the World Expo. On the basis of retaining the purest impression of the original Four Seasons Zhouzhuang, we will integrate fashion shows, paintings, rap, operas and other international forms of expression, and bring the audience to Zhouzhuang in the form of live performances, just like being on the scene, detached from things, and truly feeling the profound cultural heritage and rich folk customs of China's first water town in the enjoyment of art. The whole opening ceremony and performance will be hosted by Cao Kefan, a famous host in Shanghai. Celebrity interviews will be held in due course, and 20 heavyweight guests including Mrs. Chen Meiying, painter and pianist Chen Gang will be invited to attend, or tell stories with Zhouzhuang or perform wonderful programs on the spot. The whole opening ceremony will be both interesting and enjoyable. After the opening ceremony, the Expo version of Four Seasons Zhouzhuang will be performed three times a month in the Expo site, while the performance of Four Seasons Zhouzhuang in Zhouzhuang area will not be affected and will continue every night.

Taking the opening ceremony as an opportunity, Zhouzhuang made great efforts on special tourist souvenirs, dug deep into the commercial culture represented by Shen Wansan and the water town culture represented by Zhouzhuang Town, and developed a variety of special tourist souvenirs such as Shen Wansan comic books and Expo commemorative tickets, which gave full play to the unrepeatable influence of culture and made Zhouzhuang unique.

The theme of the opening ceremony is "creativity, environmental protection and low carbon". Shanghai World Expo is an eco-Expo, and Zhouzhuang also closely followed the theme of the eco-Expo at the opening ceremony, which not only brought the audience a good feeling of body and mind, but also brought the audience a brand-new experience of environmental protection concept and created a creative concept of low-carbon environmental protection. China Zhouzhuang Forum (3rd): Zhouzhuang Forum, a famous historical and cultural town in China, one of the series of activities of the opening ceremony and the key activity of the tourism festival (3rd), started in Zhouzhuang on May 17 and lasted for four days. Since the forum was held for two years, the specifications and scale have been continuously broken through. The forum was hosted by the Urban and Rural Planning Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. More than 300 ancient town protection experts and related officials from all over the country attended the forum, offering suggestions for the protection and development of ancient towns and villages and promoting folk culture. The forum is of far-reaching significance, and the papers during the forum will be summarized after the event.

After the opening ceremony, Zhouzhuang will hold a series of special folk activities in the Expo Park and Expo Village every month to add more colorful Expo elements to the content. "Urban Best Practice Area" is an important innovation in the development history of the World Expo. It provides an opportunity for cities to participate in the World Expo independently for the first time, a platform for cities around the world to exchange experiences, and a stage for visitors to experience "Better City, Better Life". From June 13 to June 14, Zhouzhuang was successfully selected for the exhibition "Water-washed Water Village with Poetry and Painting". The exhibition case will focus on the achievements of the protection and development of Zhouzhuang Town, the urban best practice area of Shanghai World Expo Park, and provide a stage for the audience to experience the "beautiful life of Zhouzhuang people in China's first water town". Meanwhile, Zhouzhuang will hold the first China Farmers Art Exhibition in June. At the same time, holding activities in Shanghai and Zhouzhuang will truly realize the interaction between the two places, let Chinese and foreign tourists appreciate an Expo "pavilion outside the pavilion" with unique characteristics of Jiangnan water town and Wu culture style, fully display the image concept of "Zhouzhuang-impression of Expo water town", and perfectly integrate the theme of "Better City, Better Life" with Zhouzhuang's natural and ecological water town characteristics, and further enhance Zhouzhuang's overall international image.
