Is Yamaguchi Prefecture in Japan poor?

Pity.

Yamaguchi Prefecture [3] is located at the western end of Honshu Island, Japan, bordering the Sea of Japan in the north, the Seto Inland Sea in the south and Xiangtan in the west, not far from the Korean Peninsula, facing Kyushu across the Guanmen Strait, with a coastline of 1500 km, and many small islands are distributed smoothly in the Seto Inland Sea.

The Sea of Japan, represented by North Nagato Coastal National Park, has a magnificent coastal erosion, with nearly 240 islands distributed along the coast and offshore. China's mountains run through the east and west, which can be roughly divided into three parts: Seto inland sea coastal area, inland mountainous area and Japanese sea coastal area.

Most areas are hilly and mountainous areas with limited plains. Since modern times, there have been many reclamation areas along the inland sea of Seto, with karst terrain in the middle. The Guanmen Strait between Honshu and Kyushu is river-shaped, 7 kilometers long and 700 to 1500 meters wide. It is famous for its fast-flowing water.

The Guanmen Strait and Shimonoseki Port are important places connecting Honshu and Kyushu, and were once the trade routes of Japan, Korea and China in the Ming Dynasty. At present, there are two regular passenger routes, Qingdao in China and Busan in South Korea.

climate

Shankou County is a livable place with a warm climate and few typhoons, floods and earthquakes. The climate in southern Setouchi is warm and rainy; Northern Japan has a coastal climate, and there is much snow in winter in mountainous areas.
