In order to restore the real Ding Zhen, we interviewed 100 people

All shooting is based on muscle memory, just like fighting.

There is a law in the entertainment circle, "Xiaohong depends on holding, and Dahong depends on life."

Ding Zhen is not in the entertainment circle, but this rule also applies to him. For more than half a month, he once occupied a hot search in Weibo, and so far there are more than 30 related topics.

The latest hot search events include Ding Zhen's World. 165438+1On October 25th, Ding Zhen's first micro-documentary "Ding Zhen's World" was launched as the tourism image ambassador of Litang County. The video was shot and produced by the media "Time Difference Island", which was the earliest in-depth interview with Ding Zhen on the whole network. After it was launched, it ranked first in the daily list, with a single Weibo broadcast volume of nearly 25 million.

This can't help but make people wonder: There are so many media who want to shoot Ding Zhen, why can TDOA "get there first"? What are the stories behind their shooting? To this end, Quan now contacted the producer of Ding Zhen's World. He arrived in Litang County with the team and participated in the filming of the whole film.

The following is Ma Zhike's self-report.

We don't have any amazing background, and it is also a coincidence that we can shoot Ding Zhen's world.

Last year, we posted a graphic content of "Sichuan, the ultimate freedom of China people". At that time, this article had more than 3 million readings and was screened in the circle of friends. The Sichuan Provincial Party Committee saw it and hoped to cooperate with us to create a national memory for Sichuan. Therefore, the time difference island was originally prepared to shoot a winter tourism propaganda film in Ganzi, Sichuan in June+February, 5438.

It may be a 24-hour slow motion in the form of a slow live broadcast of One Hundred Years of Solitude. Just at this time, Ding Zhen was angry, so we have an intuition that it is definitely a better choice to introduce our hometown from Ding Zhen's perspective.

This is based on two judgments. First, Ganzi described it as a "strange love song". It means that although it is beautiful, it is strange to most people in China. Even Chengdu people think it is like Tibet, like the north, not to mention Guangzhou and Shenzhen. When people think that Sichuan is the Chengdu Plain, especially Chris Lee, hot pot and giant panda, they are not familiar with the vast area of the whole western Sichuan region. Just like everyone's impression of Ding Zhen. Everyone thinks he is Tibetan, and he is beautiful because he is strange.

Then Ding Zhen has a trait, a boy, which is very consistent with the natural landscape over there. As the old saying goes, "one side of the earth and water will support one side of the people", all of them are naive and wild.

So from the beginning, we decided to structure the whole movie in the form of self-report. Although he has dealt with people in Tik Tok before, this is the first time that he has such a complete account. We can't think of a better and more sincere form than self-report.

We immediately contacted Ganzi Culture, Radio, Film and Television Tourism Bureau, and everyone hit it off. Without delay, 165438+1October16, five members of the team left Beijing for Chengdu overnight.

Litang county is very anxious: no one can say for sure in the future, because some "rollover" incidents often occurred in the past. In the words of Du Dong (general manager of Litang Lv Wen Investment Development Co., Ltd. signed by Ding Zhen), "every day is on thin ice".

We are in a hurry, this is our first time! The rhythm is too tight. In the past, we had to do a lot of research on the character and his living environment in advance and sort out a main line. This happened suddenly, and one month was compressed into one week-three days to communicate with Ding Zhen, his family and friends and the local government. The shooting time is only two days, during which the material collection and copy recording are completed, and there are still two days to edit and modify.

You asked me why there were so many close-ups, and we made them look like landscapes. In fact, we have no time to think about it. All the scenes are memorized by muscles, just like fighting.

But on the whole, we have a common sense with Litang County: restore Ding Zhen's own life, and don't shoot gossip or his private life.

Then the shooting range was set in the place where Ding Zhen once lived. We went to Ganzi Snow Mountain, Shuanghu Lake, Maoya Prairie, Kemailong Mountain, Cangyang Jiacuo Museum and Ganzi Eye, a network celebrity scenic spot under Ganzi Snow Mountain. On the Maoya Prairie, every year, Ding Zhen goes to the grassland and dam to play with his family during the August 1st Horse Racing Festival. His greatest wish is to become a "horse racing prince" and win the first prize with Pony Pearl.

This is what makes Ding really touching. We generally understand that you say to a layman, "You don't want to act, you want to be real", but often the more you say it, the more he feels like acting. Fortunately, Ding is really smart. We were surprised to find that he had a sense of camera. For example, the Cangyang Gyatso Museum in Litang County has some white curtains. We didn't tell him how you wanted to film them, but look at him walking around the curtain. His eyes, walking posture and expression are all natural.

Including Ding Zhen's shouting at the mountain, and at the end of the film, he scattered pieces of paper into the sky at the top of Kemailong Mountain, which the locals called "Ronda". That's what he usually does. Tibetans in Kangba pray like this, so he naturally shows it when he goes to those places.

By the last night of shooting, the team members were very tired. At that time, it was past 1 1, and the road back to Litang County was very bumpy, and two girls and colleagues cried. But their crying is not injustice, but crying in a purely physiological sense. They are tired and rebellious. This kind of rebellion makes people delirious, but after returning to the county seat, we must also make a copy, otherwise Ding Zhen can't remember, and left the next day, and there will be no more chance.

In fact, the copy of the film is the second difficulty after shooting. You should be close to Ding Zhen's inner world and his tone.

During the filming, we interviewed about 100 people, each for about two hours, hoping to restore the humanities and culture of Litang and Ganzi from their mouths, as well as a more authentic Ding Zhen. Fortunately, except for language communication, the local Tibetans are very friendly, especially Ding Zhen's brothers, who are very active and can walk and pose on the grass immediately. Ding Zhen is very shy in it. Maybe he realized the fact that he was popular.

All the information we interviewed was scattered and scattered. Just like sponges absorb water, we precipitated them into movie copies during the three-hour drive back to Litang County. So basically in the dark, what impression comes to mind first must be the deepest in memory, and then follow the traces to sort out the copy.

Confirm the copy at 1 pm. Ding Zhen also works hard. We translated the newly released copy into Tibetan and told him. He said it once in his usual way of expression, and then turned it into a text that can spread all over the country in Chinese, as simple as possible. For example, in the second paragraph, we are going to talk about "herding cattle". We told this passage to Ding Zhen and asked him what he thought when he was herding cattle. What will he say? Finally, we got "Time flies so slowly, so slowly, you can lie on the grass all day".

This process is quite "tossing", and some fans ask if it is possible to use Tibetan. Actually, we considered recording a version of Tibetan narration. But if you really use Tibetan, the isolation of information transmission may be stronger. Here's a trick. If you try again next time, maybe one or two sentences, such as "Hello, I'm Ding Zhen", can be used in Tibetan and others in Chinese.

After the video went online, there were three communication climaxes. The first time was two days after the video was released, which we expected. Unexpectedly, on the third day, TDOA posted an article about the behind-the-scenes story, which contained an inconspicuous detail: we asked him "Where do you want to go most, regardless of air tickets and travel expenses", and he blurted out, "I want to go to Lhasa most". The third time was a foreign report.

At that time, our colleagues hesitated and wondered whether it was appropriate to write the story "I want to go to Lhasa" in the article. Finally, I feel that the Sichuan-Tibet family respects the facts at the same time, so I don't want to write so much.

Later, everyone saw it. "The place Ding Zhen wants to go most is Lhasa" boarded a hot search in Weibo, and Ding Zhen was robbed everywhere. That article has 8000 words, which is just one of the very detailed information. Unexpectedly, it turned into an explosion, which was quite unexpected.

After the documentary was launched, 90% of the feedback was positive and there were some bad voices. The main question they questioned was, why is Ding Zhen's World the premiere of Jet Lag Island? As a post-80 s and media person, I may not understand it particularly. Our shooting was voluntary, and we reached an agreement with Litang County before shooting. The usual tidbits must be Ding Zhen's first shot, which will be forwarded by media such as Time Difference Island in about half a day. But the three-minute short film is the third perspective, just like others see him and his world, which is more suitable for third-party media to send.

Of course, I understand that this is because everyone really cares about Ding Zhen from the heart.

Another point is that many people prefer to look at his face and beauty and say, "Hey, why did you get all his eye lines?" But from the perspective of documentary, we still hope to be as close to his real effect as possible.

How can I put it? The most fundamental creative concept of TDOA is "the call from afar, the body temperature near". When we shoot a video, it must be when a person is in Japan, in the United States, and in the northeast, and this destination is far away, he only has one chance to see Ganzi in Sichuan in his life, and it is a sentence or 10 second to establish an impression of Ganzi. Then what is this impression symbol? It must be different in time and space, not a unified aesthetic.

On the whole, I think the real world has just passed. If the shooting time is longer, I don't mean that Ding Zhen must go to more places, but I want to see his possibility in more space. On the other hand, since he is now the tourism ambassador of Ganzi, he should be able to help deepen the national understanding of Ganzi, and we can do more things in his capacity.
