The best time to visit Ma'anshan Scenic Area: spring, summer and autumn

The tourist area (spot) regularly organizes tourism activities: the Ma'anshan Mountaineering Festival is held in February.

Ma'anshan, located in Zihe Town, Zichuan District, with the main peak at an altitude of 616 meters, is a complex of rugged and majestic mountains, gurgling streams, sparkling waters, beautiful pastoral villas and Ma'anshan Revolution. A natural scenic area composed of anti-Japanese relics. The mountain is steep, the peak is abrupt, and the surrounding cliffs are sharp. There is only a 132-level stone path in front of the mountain that can lead to the peak. It is easy to defend but difficult to attack. There is a man who is in charge of the pass, and ten thousand people cannot open it. , so it is a battleground for military strategists. The stone peak on the top of the mountain is tens of meters high. The east and west tops are connected and form a concave shape. When viewed from a distance, they look like a saddle, hence the name Ma'an Mountain. The peak is surrounded by cliffs, and there is a stone staircase in the southwest corner, which is narrow and steep, like a ladder to heaven, and goes straight to the Nantian Gate. It is the only dangerous way to the peak. Ma'anshan is surrounded by undulating peaks, green trees on the mountain, winding Zi River at the foot of the mountain, and criss-crossing roads. It was once the choke point for transportation between the north and the south in history. In the winter of 1943, the famous Ma'anshan Defense Battle in the history of Zibo's Anti-Japanese War took place here. To commemorate the heroes who sacrificed their lives in the defense war, the Ma'anshan Anti-Japanese Martyrs Memorial Tower was built in Boshan in 1945. The planned area is 51 square kilometers, and the built area is 8,000 square meters. The main attractions include the memorial hall, battle sites, strange stone forest, Bell and Drum Tower, Huaguang Temple, etc.

According to legend, Ma'anshan was originally a green dragon horse in the sky. Because it yearned for the freedom of the human world, it violated the laws of heaven. Its limbs were cut off by the ferocious God of Law and it was thrown into the boundless desert. on, trying to burn him to death. But this horse holds a strong belief: I must live out! Wherever the place is the best and where the people are the kindest, I will go! In this way, it knows how many mountains it has crossed and how many wades it has waded through. Jianghe finally came here and became the current Ma'anshan.

When history entered the 1940s, a bloody battle between justice and evil took place here. On November 9, 1942, the Japanese aggressors tried to block our way from Central Shandong to Shandong, Shandong and other places. At this transportation artery, more than a thousand troops were mobilized to launch a crazy attack on Ma'anshan. There are only about 30 people guarding the mountain, including the elderly, children, and the sick and wounded, and we have very few weapons and ammunition. However, the heroes, under the leadership of Wang Fenglin, deputy commander of a certain unit of the Eighth Route Army, faced enemy invaders dozens of times our size without fear and fought tenaciously with the enemy. After running out of ammunition and food, the heroes guarding the mountain took up their primitive weapons, stones, and fought against the enemy. When the enemy rushed up the hill, the heroes jumped off the cliff resolutely. The tragic battle showed the heroic spirit of the Chinese nation in resisting the enemy to the death.

Ma'anshan, which has gone through the baptism of war, has long since changed into a new look. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can see far away: the peaks are stacked on top of each other, verdant; Jiujiu Yueyang Mountain faces it across the river, and a black train goes up along the Xintai Railway; the Taihe Reservoir is as horizontal as a mirror, like a The shy girl is hidden among the green hills on the two cliffs. People have not forgotten the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the revolution. Ma'anshan is listed as a provincial key cultural relics protection unit and a patriotism education base for urban youths by the Shandong Provincial People's Government. There is a Ma'anshan battle monument, a martyr's ancestral hall and an exhibition room on the mountain; on the towering cliffs, there are sculptures of people who lived in the Ma'anshan area at that time. There are inscriptions by Liao Rongbiao and General Qian Jun who fought and later served as deputy commander of the Nanjing Military Region, as well as Mr. Feng Yizhi, the former vice chairman of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, whose family of six donated money to the country.

In recent years, Zihe Town has invested nearly one million yuan in opening a mountain climbing highway, restoring the original buildings such as the Yuhuang Pavilion and Huaguang Temple on the mountain, rebuilding the Martyrs' Ancestral Hall, and creating a brand of loyalty to martyrs. Martyrs Group Sculpture, Lingyun Pavilion and other scenic spots were built, wind turbines were installed, and it was built into the Ma'anshan Scenic Area that integrates revolutionary traditional education and humanistic and natural landscapes. There are many tourists all year round. Last year, it was named a municipal scenic spot by the Municipal People's Government. Miracles happen in times of prosperity.

What is even more magical and gratifying is that people have discovered three new natural landscapes this year: One is an Eighth Route Army head more than ten meters high on a 100-meter-high cliff in Shandong Peak. , upright and lifelike, symbolizing the unyielding souls of the martyrs who died in the Ma'anshan battle, and are called heroic souls; one is on the main peak of Santai Mountain just south of Ma'anshan, which looks like a sleeping giant Buddha, solemn, natural, and vivid. It is known as the Santai Reclining Buddha; one is a peak in the southwest of Ma'an Mountain. It is like a Maitreya Buddha sitting in meditation. It has a focused expression, calmness and clear lines, which is really a magical creation of nature. Ma'anshan is located in the upper reaches of Taihe Reservoir. In summer, at the foot of Ma'an Mountain, the water is vast, making it a good place for people to carry out water activities. The scenic spots such as Lianhua Mountain, Yixiantian, Mengquan, and Sky Pillar adjacent to Ma'anshan are magical and beautiful. The long-famous production of pond pears, jujubes and garlic here has created unique conditions for tourism agriculture.
