Ink painting Hongcun, so that's it.

To enter the world cultural heritage list, we must follow the rules of world heritage, and we cannot build it privately or dismantle it at will, which is conducive to the protection of historical sites for our nation who loves to "break the old and build new ones"; The influence of the scenic spot has also been improved, and the "heritage" has completely become a scenic spot; The corresponding problem has also come, and everything can never go back to the past. Just like an ancient town that has entered the world heritage, it will never be quiet, simple and quaint, as if time had stood still.

The only solution I can think of is to travel in the off-season. Leave about ten days before the Spring Festival, and go home the next day and the third day to avoid the crowd to the maximum extent. This kind of trip has been implemented for several years, and it has been tried and tested. Last year, I arrived in Hongcun a week before the Spring Festival. I was the only passenger outside the scenic spot on the day I booked the hotel. This is definitely off-season!

Hongcun, Shuimo Hongcun! The cold and rainy weather in winter has greatly increased the effect of ink painting in Hongcun. The desolate trees in winter also add vigorous brushwork to ink painting.

Although the scenery in ancient Huizhou is good, the farming conditions are not good. There is a ballad "Born in Huizhou without a previous life". In order to survive, Huizhou people work hard, study hard and go out. Huizhou merchants are a famous merchant force. Huizhou merchants give people the impression that they are Confucian businessmen, which is related to the good education they received since childhood. Huizhou attaches great importance to education. Hongcun built the college in a village near the South Lake with the best scenery, and used the best materials. The beams and columns are made of ginkgo and camphor wood. Because of its aroma, it can repel mosquitoes, and there has never been a spider web for 200 years.

Southerners have a strong sense of clan. Another scenic place in the village has built an ancestral temple-Lexiu Hall. The ancestral hall was built in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty, and it has been well preserved to this day. The beam frame has a typical Ming dynasty style, and the building components such as moon beam, fork hand, sparrow replacement and pan bucket are beautifully carved and have a high artistic level.

Ancestral temples used to be dedicated to men, but Lexutang dedicated to a woman named Hu Chongniang (1379- 1454), who married from Xidi Village to Hongcun Village. Her husband is an official outside and she is in charge of the village. The water conservancy project of Zebei descendants in the village was completed under her leadership. "My wife's husband" is a plaque given to her by her people.

The villagers' attitude towards the future and the past is to build the school and ancestral temple in the best location in the village.

Walking on the stone road in the village, the ancient meaning goes all the way. There is a stream flowing through the alley in the village, which is an important part of the village water conservancy project-water town.

The source water-water town-villagers' home-Yuebog-water town-Nanhu finally flows into Dongfanghong Reservoir, forming a complete and good drainage system in this cow-shaped village, which can realize source control, mid-way storage, terminal storage and discharge regulation. When it rains, the rainwater flows into the "Niuwei" Moon Marsh along the puddle, and then flows into the "Niuwei" South Lake through the puddle. "Cow belly" Moon Marsh and "Cow belly" South Lake are all reservoirs, which store water for flood control in rainy season and release water for drought relief in dry season. "Cow intestines" water is transferred from house to house, and "tap water" is delivered to every household on weekdays. The rainy season is a drainage channel.

Also, Qingshi Road in the village. Not only does it maintain the flavor of the ancient village, but in fact, the big gap between the stone slabs also has a water seepage effect.

With such a water conservancy project, even if other places are surrounded by floods, they can spend it safely here.

We can use the water system according to local conditions. Shouldn't we greatly worship the wisdom of our ancestors?

Moon Lake is a half-moon lake in the center of Hongcun Village, surrounded by ancestral halls and old houses in the village. On rainy days in winter, it is a good school of ink painting in southern Anhui, with white walls and tiles and pools like mirrors. Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was filmed here.

An important part of Huizhou culture is Huizhou architecture, with white walls and tiles on the outside and exquisite wood carvings and brick carvings on the inside.

Pang Yuntang, an ancient house that was relocated as a whole, is next to Nanhu Academy. Banyuntang was originally built in the remote village of Cuilinke, which was the residence of scholars in the late Qing Dynasty. In the 1990s, the owner of the house was unable to continue to maintain the house. In order to properly protect the cultural heritage, the whole house was moved to Hongcun for reconstruction.

Chengzhitang is the residence of Wang Salt Merchants in the late Qing Dynasty, with brick and wood structure and a building area of 3,000 square meters. Its mansion compound is called "Folk Forbidden City". The wood carvings in the mansion are exquisite. Although it has a long history, it still has a magnificent feeling. Because the owner once used 100 gold to make gold powder and coated it on the surface of all wood carvings. This is the largest old house in Xidihong Village.
