(1) According to the regulations of the Japanese Embassy in China:
Foreigners are required to apply for a Japanese visa when visiting Japan. China (except Hong Kong and Taiwan) has not yet become the target area for visa exemption in my country. Therefore, Chinese people visiting Japan must apply for a visa in advance no matter how many days they are going to stay.
The application information submitted is true and in compliance with the regulations.
The applicant’s activities or identity, status, and stay in Japan are in compliance with the status of residence and stay as stipulated in the Immigration and Refugee Recognition Act (Government Decree No. 319 of 1951, hereinafter referred to as the “Immigration Control Act”) .
Please note that the procedures and documents submitted vary depending on the type of passport you have, the purpose of visiting Japan, the length of stay, etc. In addition, in principle, the visa procedures of our Embassy need to be handled through the agency designated by our Embassy.
Also, the validity period of a single-entry visa is 3 months from the day after the issuance date and cannot be extended, so please pay attention to your application period.
(Note): Holders of "Diplomatic", "Service", and "Official Ordinary" passports must apply through the agency designated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.
Applicants who are within the jurisdiction of our embassy, ??please contact the Visa Section of the Consular Department of our embassy directly (Tel: 010-6532-2007) when making inquiries.
In addition, applicants who are not within the jurisdiction of our consulate should contact the consulate general, resident office, etc. under their respective jurisdiction.
According to regulations, visa applications for foreigners other than Chinese must be handled by the China International Travel Service, the Entry-Exit Personnel Service Center of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, and the Tianjin Foreign Enterprise Expert Service Co., Ltd. (only Tianjin area) agent.

a. Information that can confirm the validity of the international credit card (including UnionPay card) gold card level or above
b. Proof of employment (including position, period of employment, salary amount (annual income), etc.) and information that can confirm annual income (bank statements (last six months), etc.)
c. Documents that can confirm the formation of assets (pension certificate, real estate certificate, stock delivery receipt, etc.)

Tourist visa must be applied for through the travel agency designated by the Embassy.
Especially multiple tourist visas. Applicants must submit applications directly to the travel agency designated by the museum. Applications from travel agencies other than those designated by the museum are not allowed.
For tourist visas (excluding five-year multiple-entry visas), the travel agency designated by our museum must manage the entire travel process of tourists.
Therefore, tourists’ round-trip air tickets and hotel accommodation must be booked through the travel agency designated by the museum. (Itinerary changes must also be made by the designated travel agency.)
For a single-entry tourist visa, you need to go to Japan (stay) according to the schedule submitted when applying for the visa. If the travel schedule changes, a schedule change report must be submitted to the designated travel agency before departure.
If you travel to Japan for the first time with a multiple-visit tourist visa (excluding five-year multiple-visit visa), you must go to Japan (stay) according to the schedule submitted to the Embassy when you apply for the visa at that time. If the travel schedule changes, it can only be changed to a schedule within three months from the date of visa issuance. In addition, a schedule change report must be submitted to the hotel through the designated travel agency in advance.
Once a violation of the above regulations is confirmed, the visa issued may become invalid. Please pay attention.
(2) Visa processing fees?
The visa fees charged by the embassy are as follows. In addition to the following visa fees, the embassy’s designated travel agency charges visa processing fees (including round-trip (Air tickets, hotel accommodation fees, etc.) For details, please consult the travel agency designated by our hotel.
Single visa: 200 yuan
Multiple visa: 400 yuan
No visa fee will be charged when no visa is issued.
Visas fees are waived when visiting Okinawa Prefecture or any of the three northeastern prefectures (Iwate, Fukushima, and Miyagi).
No visa fee is required when staying in Okinawa Prefecture or visiting any of the three Tohoku prefectures (Iwate, Fukushima and Miyagi) among the six Tohoku prefectures.
