The classic Danxia Mountain Scenic Area is located in Renhua County, northeast of Shaoguan, Guangdong Province. Danxia Mountain is composed of red sandstone and features Chibi. Geologists named this landform "Danxia landform" after Danxia Mountain. It is a national key scenic spot, a national nature reserve, the first batch of national AAAA-level tourist areas, a national geological park, a national AAAA-level tourist area and the first batch of world geological parks.
