Huangshan District: Local people generally call it Taiping. It is now the north gate of Huangshan Scenic Area. From here, tourists can take the newly built Taiping Cableway up the mountain. There is still about 60KM from Huangshan District (Taiping) to Huangshan Scenic Area (Tangkou). The expressway between the two places has also been opened.
Huangshan Scenic Area: It is Huangshan in the sense of tourists visiting it. More specifically, it starts from the gate of Huangshan Scenic Area, including the entire Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area.
Tangkou: An important tourist town located at the foot of Huangshan Mountain. It is the location of the south gate of Huangshan Mountain and is the only way to visit Huangshan Scenic Area. From here, you can take a bus to the back mountain (Yungu Temple) or the front mountain (Ciguang Pavilion) of Huangshan Mountain, and then start your mountain climbing tour on foot or by cable car. At present, 90% of tourists entering Huangshan Mountain enter through the south gate of Huangshan Mountain. This is the place where tourists gather before climbing.
Generally speaking, the Huangshan we refer to refers to the Huangshan Scenic Area. If you come to Huangshan by train or plane, you can only reach Huangshan City (Tunxi), and then we need to take Huangshan to Huangshan here. The shuttle bus from Tangkou goes to Tangkou Town at the foot of Huangshan Scenic Area, where you take the "New National Line" scenic area special transportation vehicle to enter Huangshan Scenic Area.

1 Train
Now passing through Huangshan There are more than 30 trains in Huangshan, and there are direct trains to Huangshan from major cities across the country. If you arrive at Huangshan Station by train, you can take the shuttle bus from Huangshan City (Tunxi) to Huangshan District (Taiping) outside the station exit, and get off at Tangkou on the way (the cost is about 15 yuan/person, and 18 yuan if you take the expressway) Yuan/person, about every half hour), and then transfer to the scenic area's "New National Line" transportation bus up the mountain at the scenic area transfer center.
2 Plane
Huangshan Airport is also in Huangshan City, but it is in the suburbs, about 5KM away from the city. The shuttle bus from Xi to Taiping gets off at Tangkou (15 yuan/person, 18 yuan/person by highway). After arriving at Tangkou, transfer to the scenic "New National Line" transportation bus to go up the mountain. If there are many people, you can choose to hire a taxi directly from the airport to Tangkou (about 150 yuan/car).
3 Cars
If you come by car from Wuhan, Hefei, Tongling, Anqing, Nanjing, Wuhu and other places, you can first ask whether it will park at Tangkou of Huangshan Scenic Area. If If you park, you can take the bus directly and get off at Tangkou to save time. At present, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Hefei, Wuhan and other places have direct buses to Huangshan Scenic Area. When buying tickets, be sure to buy tickets for Huangshan Scenic Area (Tangkou). Some vehicles coming from cities such as Shanghai and Hangzhou stop at Huangshan City (Tunxi), and some go directly to Huangshan Scenic Area (Tangkou). If you are driving to Huangshan City, you need to stop at Huangshan Bus Station Inside, transfer to the shuttle bus from Tunxi to Taiping and get off at Tangkou, then transfer to the scenic "New National Line" transportation bus up the mountain.
For information on transportation from some cities to the Huangshan Scenic Area, please refer to the "New National Line" bus to enter the Huangshan Scenic Area. Non-local vehicles are not allowed to enter.
4 Self-driving cars
With the rapid development of tourism in Huangshan, Huangshan City has now built various expressways leading to various parts of East China, generally including the following:
