The South China Sea Guanyin statue on Nanshan Mountain in Sanya, Hainan Province was built in 1993, with a total height of108m. This statue is made up of three statues, all of which are frontal images. It is the tallest statue made in the world. Zhao Puchu, president of the Buddhist Association of China, named it "Guanyin of Nanshan on the Sea", and now people call it Nanhai Guanyin, which is located in Nansan, Sanya.

Guanyin statue is a lotus flower on one side, a scripture on the other, and a Buddha bead on the other. It is an integrated three Guanyin statues, a solemn treasure and a lotus throne with 108 petals. The lotus throne is ten meters high and has four floors.

There are 27 lotus petals with the same shape on each floor, with a total of 108 petals, which is 20 petals more than the lotus throne at the base of Lingshan Giant Buddha. Under the lotus seat is the King Kong throne. Inside the King Kong throne is the Tong Yuan Hall, with an area of 1.5 million square meters.
